"Stay hard on the gas" is no poser thing. Due to the dynamic weight transfer on bikes and the fact that the rear wheel gets pressed down on the road when you accelerate, you're actually getting maximum traction when you "stay on the gas" in a corner. Most of these guys have just overdone it. You don't take? a corner above 8000 rpm. Smoothness is the keyto success.

Whoever this riders friends are should have never brought them? there without holding them back. I know how it was when I first started riding. My riding friends who are mostly WERA racers and one ex pro rider purposely held me back and I followed their lines. The newness and rush gets new riders in trouble all too quickly. Corner entry is smooth(effortless), doesn't need much input on the footpegs. When I tried to ride it like my R1, counter-steering and weighting the pegs? I over-steered into 3 consecutive corners on the fast part of Mulholland. Had to reevaluate my riding style. This bike doesn't know what "nervous" means. It's happy in any environment at any pace...

It sounds a lil different becuz of Super Quaddro, stroke of new L-twin which means its a 90 degree twin means it sounds higher pitched compared to the lower grumble from the previous 1098/1198s. Ducati Monster Motorcycle Crash - May 13, 2012

Ducati hits guardrail, amazingly the bike was uninjured. although it was touch and go at first, in the end just a scratch or two. The rider was also ok with what appeared to be just a sprained ankle.

Yes indeed corners on the track are challenging, but as you stated you can select lines whereas with a corner such as this one you either cut in early and go wide or cut late and stay inside. Sure plenty of fast street riders aren't shit compared to fast track riders, however these guys ride can ride faster than most riders in general can thus making them the? elite of the underdogs.

i was one of a wolfpack up in nor cal on public roads a big fish in a small pond so to speak then i got my reality check when i went racing in a.f.m. fast street riders arent shit up against racers who understand the dynamics involved when a 45 ft wide track? is available to design your own lines, you got game on a bike no doubt ,this one instuctor who is blinding fast keeps his body in line with his bike and acheves 50 deg.+ lean angles so hanging off is not a must he would be a top club racer

There is intact one line on a single lane rd and when you learn how to be precise enough to hit that line you can go to the? track and put down precise perfect lines every time. Also I have seen a lot of squids that have balls bigger then there brain and I don't care if you put ntec's on there bike the still do not have the body positioning you need to accomplish extreme lean angles.

a challenging corner ? ill debate on that, corners on the track are challenging, thats just a long sweeper with a double yellow line that limits line selection to p reety much 0, throw on a set of U.K. made dunlop n-tech tires and a lot of riders who have large enough attachments can acheive these lean angles, but why ? with a human hamburgermaker of a guardrail? 10 feet away? i will take my chances at the track ,where there is no oncoming traffic, an ambulance crew there , i can pick any line

Hey Guys!!! Pls someone answer this question. I started driving a bike 3 weeks ago. Today i fell on the floor because i was a lil too fast in a curve. i braked very hard because i knew i wouldnt get the curve. i drove in a field and fell off. the bike does not have a big damage. just some scratches? and the air cooler is a lil crushed. Yeah, you're right! I've wondered before what "crossed up" means, and? it just dawned on me that it means your abs are pointing the wrong way. I remember Keith Code saying in one of his (many) writings that you should put your weight on the OUTSIDE foot in a turn... this will give u leverage so that your upper body can point inside, towards the direction of the turn. Just realized that if you do this properly, your abs/upperbody will naturally point towards the inside.

But yes that's something that more often than not in these Mulholland Curve vids that I notice. "Stay hard on the gas" is no poser thing. Due to the dynamic weight transfer on bikes and the fact that the rear wheel gets pressed down on the road when you accelerate, you're actually getting maximum traction when you "stay on the gas" in a corner. Most of these guys have just? overdone it. You don't take a corner above 8000 rpm. Smoothness is the keyto success.
