Interesting, most kids seem to be on Xbox nowadays, last time I played a 360 game it was full of 10 year olds screeching every time they lost and accusing everyone of cheating. The adults I know all use either a PC, PS3 or Wii. Often? all 3 of them.

What I mean is that Portal 1, Resident Evil 5 and games alike could? have been made for the Wii, as you say in a "down version of physyx", but still, Wii may be down but lately has shown much more power that developers didnt want to give. This game, Last Story, Xenoblade Chronicles and Amazing Spiderman (yet to come) are the proof. Capcom even said that they made RE5 run on the Wii, but they were suckers and didnt port it

No Sony and Microsoft have better game consoles but as a video game company Nintendo is the best actually. The problem is that the Wii is not as good as the PS3 or XBOX 360 so Nintendo may end up like Sega and Atari which would be just a independent game developer. The last great system? Nintendo made was the Nintendo 64 in my opinion and after that with the Gamecube and Wii it has been downhill disappointment for me.

Nintendo will always remain one of the world's best video game companies along with Sega, Atari, Squareonix, Rockstar games etc. But i feel that Nintendo if they don't develop a system that surpasses the Wii and the PS3, XBOX 360, it will most likely give a big edge to Sony and Microsoft in the console contest. Nintendo could still be a a great third party developer in the future like Sega does with the Sonic the Hedgehog games or? Atari but console wise Sony and Microsoft are better.

Back in the days it was simple to tell the difference between the upgrades of the game systems. Nintendo Entertainment System? was 8-bit of graphics. The Super NES and Sega Genesis ran on a 16 bit. The Playstation and Sega Saturn was 32 bit while the Nintendo 64 was 64 bits. Now they don't even publish the bit size as the processing memory is not published. But either way anyone who knows about graphic capability would see the PS3 and XBOX 360 are neck and neck for best console.

Nintendo has always been one of my favorite video game companies but i feel that in development of consoles, Nintendo may go the same way Sega and Atari did as Sony and Microsoft are better in developing game systems than Nintendo now. I am a huge fan of Nintendo and always have been since the NES, Super NES, Nintendo 64 though i was not that big a fan of the game cube and Nintendo Wii because i felt the systems did not impress me as much as the N64. Nintendo is one of the best video game companies in the world along with Sega and Atari and Blizzard and even Rockstar games. Violence and sex CAN be used in a mature way, but their is no doubt that most games don't. DA, however did. But I do agree with you to a point. And I'm not going to? lie OoT is the best game made to date, but so the fuck what? That means literally nothing at all. Its been a decade and a half since OoT and since then Nintendo has seen a VERY big decline in quality, even Skyward Sword wasn't near as good. It was good, it had great aesthetics and a pretty good story, but still disappointing a little bit overrated.

not to mention wii had a piece of shit controller with only one analog stick and considering motion controls suck because they arent immersive (you can run around swinging your sword and it can bounce of a wall and your arm just keeps on going, that breaks immersion. on the metacritic note ya SMG has high scores but thats 2 games (well one and a half at most, SMG2 was a rehash more than a sequel considering it didnt even change gameplay at all). Overall it has a fraction of acclaimed titles.?

We like the game overall. We like that you can have two players and not have to have the computer be the other two players. That was always annoying. I like that the games go by faster so the kids don't get so bored. I do wish there? were items other than special dice.

Not trying to sound like a hater, cuz there's still a big ninty fan in me, but i was severly disappointed with Wii. If it wasn't for Mario Galaxy 1 &2, NMB a, Donkey Kong and Zelda...the console would have been shit....for me. Very sad that the third? party games were so incredibly forgettable. I'm trying to keep my enthusiasm down to avoid disappointments, but i hope for great things for Wii U. Wii certainly wasn't. 360 and PS3 BY FAR...have better games in the long run.

I reckon the main problem with the wii was third party support. The console was, and is absoloutely perfect. As a guy who owns both a wii and an xbox 360, I prefer each console more or less sometimes. Wii feels? like the type of console I can sit back, relax and enjoy all day long. A sought of console that's for my quiet time. Xbox 360 is definately more of a social console. I can play the game while talking to my mates at the same time. But the gameplay doesn't last as long for some reason.

@MrGameWay I agree. I'm so sick of everyone saying that it sucks. Who gives a crap about graphics? A game can have the most beautiful graphics in the world. But if you aren't throwing good gameplay on top of it, then those graphics don't mean anything. And I'm not being biased? here. I actually own a 360 and plan on getting a PS3 soon. I just don't think that the Wii is as bad as ppl make it out to be. As a matter of fact, I actually think it's better than the 360.

@MrGameWay not a fanboy or a hater, but there are like 5 good games on the wii i can't play buy swinging the remote randomly and spamming buttons. Im actually a huge fan of Zelda TP and Mario Galaxy 1 & 2, and Brawl, but quite honestly, the good games end there. I know what you're saying. I admit I felt weird after seeing the Wii's design when it was first announced, but I gave it a try and ended up loving it. There are some games now that I can't imagine playine with out the motion controls.? At the same time, I still love my Ps3 controller. I get that many older gamers don't like the Wii because of the controllers and have a hard time accepting change. I was hesitant too, but you'll never know if you don't try. That's what I was saying about the Wii U

controller design is important in terms of how usable it is. If I were to invent a controller that was just 5 joysticks attached to a small ball it'd be kind of important. Now as for the wiiu though, I doubt nintendo screwed up the controller? as it's pretty much standard minus the touch screen (Although wii controllers are compatible that's just special.)

Again, it's cool if you don't like the design. All I've been trying to say? is that you shouldn't be making a decision not to give the Wii U a chance before it even comes out. The Wii had very unimpressive numbers and reaction before it came out, and it ended up being pretty successful. As for the graphics, the companies who've worked on it, say that it has more power than the xbox 360 and Ps3. Ps4 and Xbox 720 will pass Wii U, but again, power of the console doesn't matter in determining fun

Graphics noobs are people who only care about graphics and will completely avoid playing any games without HD or stunning graphics. Nintendo has never been about matching the power either. They do their own thing. They like to innnovate and it has payed off for them. They've always put more focus on experience, story and gameplay than power and looks.? And games can be vivid and beautiful looking without power. Look at Mario Galaxy. Won awards for design against HD games on the other systems

If they are waiting until 2016, then we will definately? see the Wii-U blow the rest of the market away with it's capabilities and options that overshadow the other current consoles while providing something new and fresh.

I think Sony might pull off a Nintendo Wii and make the next system slightly underpowered than the previous gen and? also have more processing power because they did say they would spend a whole lot of money on the next gaming console because of the massive loss of money thanks to the bad marketing of the PS Vita. So really yeah, it could be either a down graded PS3 with cheaper parts or a underpowered next gen console

How do you know that Sony will do the same thing as the PS3? Why would a company that had a lot of sales loss from their mistake of an expensive system do the? same thing? Sony is on their fifth red right now, so it's not an option to make another expensive system just to outperform another system if the difference won't be too significant. Why not just upgrade the PS3, which will lower the cost of manufacturing, etc., but with a tablet controller? Have you ever thought of that? Tell me.

How can you be so sure that Sony, or even MS, will have a more powerful system when none of us know anything if they're even coming? All there are are rumors and speculations, nothing more. The PS3 is? the very first Sony system to outperform Nintendo's very first weak system -- the Wii -- so, how can you be so sure that Sony will do the same thing with the PS4? You sure that they will make another expensive system just to outperform the Wii U even if it won't make much difference?

Actually my comment was right on the truth, I'm not talking about previous gen consoles. The Wii-U won't be even close to the power of the next generation Xbox and PS4 that are going to be released? in 2013, but they will still offer the best gameplay experience for the broadest age range and options that are going to put them at the top again, especially in regard to pricing. Most wont pay $500 for a console, but $300 they may. I own several hundred shares of NTDOY, so I'm betting on it.

Sony has been suffering for a while on it's home electronics.? The Korean companies (LG & Samsung) have been eating it's food for a while. The Playstation came in way under projections - so Sony had not been doing well long before the earthquake. they just announced last week they are laying off 10k employees.

While not up to par with the graphical capabilities or the sheer magnitidue of game genres found under PS/Xbox, Nintendo offers the best gameplay experience for all ages and families which caters to a huge market. Kids won't be getting a $500 Xbox 720 or PS4, they will be getting a $300 Wii U in most cases especially if they already have the? Wii their parents bought 4 years ago to go with it
