That's fine, but the facts are that these detectors can be safely "run together" in this configuration (two outside) and one of the windscreen. The STi-R and the 9500ci? are tempest units and do not leak RF that can interfere with other detectors. The V1 is sufficiently far away from the other two shielded by a large metallic hood...But thanks for playing anyway.

Bobby wasn't any less lax, he was just more of a character like with this whole costume thing. Its no wonder he is such a star in Japan. In 99 and 2000 we had alot talent in the pitching staff, a solid pen, the best infield defense you can have, and a strong lineup. I would say that team and this team is pretty similar weapons wise. Art Howe had the best team on paper and? did nothing with it. But I do miss Bobby the game could use more people like him.

hmm..never heard of it..alls i know is that POP method cannot be? used in court....instant on is what this video is showing (either X, K, or Ka band...or Ku band for people in Europe). Instant on is when cop has a Radar Gun and has it off then turns it on when he sees your car..constant on is when there is heavy traffic and he just leaves it on to grab your speed.

It is fairly obvious to those in the know in a POP burst is either 67MS or 16MS, im not even sure if a human and pull the? trigger with in 16MS, so naturally K band is going to dominate when POP is on. As far as POP being an ACTUAL device... POP is a feature for a radar gun. The chances of someone running into POP is next to none. However if you do have POP on you can detect cobra users then hit them with the bushnell as they drive by :D

with POP ON, it will catch quick trigger K band and KA 33.8 GHZ better than when POP is off but it will not catch 35.5 GHZ ka and 34.7 Ghz Ka with POP on as good as it will with? POP off. If 35.5 and/or 34.7 are your main threats, turn POP OFF. If K and 33.8 are main threats, leave POP ON. With POP on you will have a bit more Ka falsing and Junk Outs than with it off as a consequence.

And I don't think I could live without the arrows , not getting proper coverage from rear radar and depending on radar to reflect on front objects can be a fatal? mistake , if it wasn't for the V1 I would had goten nailed on my way to ST augustine where the cop was hiding on a on ramp hitting cars as they passed , he hit me from the side first and thanks to the V1 I had time .

Hi and thanks for watching . THe title says Pop option on vs pop option off against quick trigger , quick trigger is instant on radar , and yes you were right about everything you said except that I wanted to make a test showing that having the pop option on the Valentine one increases your chances at catching K band instant on traps . As shown on the video when the POP option was on the V1 was able to pick all the instant on radar transmissions vs? 0 when POP was off .

Just some fyi for ya... This title SHOULD BE CALLED Instant on vs. constant on ... POP is an ACTUAL device that uses Pulse Radar at a certain frequancy...The device you have uses K? Band and isn't a POP device it is a Radar Gun (HUGE difference in the devices). Cops can Legally use instant on or Constant on because it records the speed...POP can ONLY save the speed for a limited time and be erased which is why cops CANNOT use that method to give you a ticket,

What everybody is calling a "scream" is a thing called Head Voice. Upper register Head voice is alot easier to execute than? a standard scream. Which is why she always seems so un-phased by those notes. AND Real screams hurt and they can damage your chords. Clearly shes not hurting. Chaka's head voice is just ALOT louder and clearer than the "normal" singer, which sets her apart from most. ALSO, She is nearly pitch perfect. Which makes her "wail" sound damn near perfect most times.

So what is the big deal? You are driving on a STRAIGHT HIGHWAY. My 9500 ix picked up KA in the country about a mile and a half out with hills in between and it was heavily forested. It also pickes up laser from the rear because we have photo radar all over creation. None of the top detectors are better than the other, they all perform the same. The trick is falsies and I KNOW Valentine doesn't? shut up and is too STUPID to remember where they are!!!

when I'm talking about K40 being the best radar system I'm talking about the remote k40-2000 system with the laser defuser, not the k40 portable winshidle radar thin... the remote system has better radar devices wich are alot more sensetive and with there bing no winshield infront of the sensor your pick them up quicker than you would with a radar system being in the winshield.?

i see. but for your average person, v1 is economically ideal for 400, and the fact it picks? up earlier than the k40, k40 isn't bad from what i've read but i like how the v1 still picks up 5 seconds or more than the k 40. ( k40 user and a v1 users experience reported this) this is important to speeders who do in excess over 100, and as for instant on with bait that can be helpful

take in? consideration, traffic, weather, humidity, how narrow ka is compared to k and x, what frequency of ka is being used. 1.8 from the rear is not pathetic that's more than needed, this is a real situation, unlike tests where the v1 performed 9 miles or more on ka

I was going to work this morning and got hit with some Instant On in the fog, since it was foggy I was not going super fast. This is the stuff nightmares are made of a Indiana State cop hitting you with instant On before before you can even see him. I also got a J-out on the Valentine 1 right at the very end of the alert this is the first one I have gotten since I turned POP OFF.

Cop has his radar in hold mode. Which means he is not transmitting anything, then when he see's a car that he think is speeding he hits you real quick with a blast of radar and then puts it right back? into hold mode. Until he finds somebody else who's speed he wants to check. If used properly, like in this video it can be tough for any radar detector to beat.

When Valentine 1 developed POP for their RD's they also included this "J" feature. What happens is the V1 detects Ka band radar and alerts, but then continues processing the signal and if it determines it not to be a real cop. You get a "J" and the alert stops meaning you got a junk alert. But this alert obviously was a real cop and the V1 should not have given me the "J"? alert.

Thanks for the info. So is the V1 the best on the market? I've just used my? $70 cobra and its been decent. Distance sucks the most, but its helped me out alittle so far. Im looking to get anouther radar detector. Something stronger. Perferably something hidden.

I/O= Instant On radar. The cops keep their radar off until they see you then blast you with radar, a radar detector is useless in this situation. The only way to defend against this? is to have a person in front of you thats going your speed or faster that gets hit first and then you slow down. And a J-out is just something annoying the V1 does it will give you a Ka band alert and if it determines that the signal is not a cop it stops alerting a gives you a J on the display.

Invalid and worthless test. Regardless of how convenient it may be to try and do your own? detector test by running two in your car at the same time, you cannot do so. The two detectors can and WILL interfere with each other.? Trying to run 4 at? the same time is ridiculus. And even if the detectors did not interfere with each other, they're all? mounted in different locations ? making the parameters of the test for each unit completely different, again, making the results totally meaningless.

I tried a brand new in sealed box V1 3.893 for about a week, had it on tall L and still gave a lot of false alerts in city. The final straw was when I was on the interstate, pitch black, late night, and was getting laser alerts.? No cop I could see for miles.

Agree with you that can save you money, but if you buy a cheaper radar is going to do the same than the top of the line. Maybe it picks it up a little bit quicker, not much of a difference. Now those beltronics, Valentine, Escort detectors are always high. Even when the new one is out they old ones are keeping their price tags. True, I always got my tires at Tire Rack, I never ran into POP when living up there I had POP turned off on all my RD's. The V1 is pretty much? the benchmark of all RD's and has been for 15 years. I have to admit though the Escort Redline I have is a pretty awesome RD also, it gave me alot of good saves against the ISP's Instant On Ka Band 35.5.

Good thing about living there = tire rack. But back to the v1..... I have had my v1 since 05, after a bad experience with the? solo s2 cordless. Detector worked ok, but the display kept fizzling. Will never buy another escort again. 5 years of (nearly) trouble free operation on the v1. Arrows invaluable, but pop update does not work all the time. West Lafayette cop used pop on me and it never went off. I don't know if any detector can pick it up reliably.

I came here looking for a Redline vs. V1 comparison... low and behold I KNOW that strech of road!! drive it weekly... (just coincidence, but still cool) Used a V1 borrowed from a friend last week, thought it was good but I need to try the Redline next. I saw it mentioned that the Redline is a 9500ix on steroids. Is that true? I don't see the red-light camera & GPS driven? technology in the Redline. Maybe I missed something.

Do you think? the redline falses too much in the city? I just got an ix and I am debating about returning it for a redline. Photo cameras aren't really a problem and I don't run red lights.

I don't know if he's telling the whole story, but in? his talk at Google for his book, The Driver, he was asked how comparable the times were from his 31:04 to the old Cannonball and U.S. Express runs. He said that some of the guys back then did have a spotter planes, and that the only significant difference was that he employed the use of laser jammers. With all due respect to AR, in my opinion, he "cheated", using? blockers and helicopters as lookouts isn't the same as the original cannonballers ran. While times have certainly changed (with higher tech communications, etc.) those guys really took the chances. Therefore, I don't believe the times are directly comparable.
