Hi, I'm looking at doing mine myself in a few weeks. What advice do you have for me that you did not mention in the video. My research so i found. Use only gen toyota gaskets I will be changing the intake gasket , pcv valve while i'm at it. I also heard to use some sealant on the corners of the? gasket, and to tighten the vavle cover bolts in a spiral pattern. If this correct and do you know of any other information out there that will help me guide through this process. Thank you.

Does SES(engine)light appear while driving?scan it for a code.The cause might be the over-drive solenoid. Inspect the transmission fluid for discoloration and burn smell.I would recommend replacing the trans fluid and filter. Add on bottle of Lucas Trans slip to condition? all seal and clutch.

(The genre is mass production.) Within these parameters, this head idea is ingenious. The cam journals are generous but still don't seem to have bearing? inserts for ease of rebuilding. More cyl. head heat retention means more heater output and better emissions. Will the production head come in 2 halves, or just 1 piece? This head is as appealing as the CS130D alternator. I chose it over the Ford 3G because of its' ingenious styling.

Not to disapoint you guy's.. But variable valve timing has been around on European engines since the 90's!!! Both Volvo and BMW started with "dual" VVT in 2002. The Japanese also, at least Toyota, Nissan and so on... Those systems only affect valve centerline angle, and lobe separation angles. Honda has used their V-tec system? in some form or another since the 90's. Tho it both alternates duration, timing and lift through the switching between "rigid" cam profiles.

Actually, yes, Ti-vct stands for twin independant variable cam timming,? so it's pretty much in the name, the difference is that Ti-vct uses mechanical lift to variate the timming prior to electronic lift. It's just ford's vvt system, and you can think that honda and nissan have the best, but then again, the only "performance cars" don't make much power, and are turbocharged, therefore taking away all of the advantages of v-tec in the first place. Well, Lambda was? part of Volvo in the 1970's, particularly for California cars. It had to do with extra emission protection. In the late 70's going in to the 80's many manufactures incorporated extra smog control, smog pumps, egr valves, timing retardation, whatever they could think of to get the vehicle for sale in California.

WTF? are you talking about?.... Direct Injection has been around for a while, try an Isuzu Rodeo V6 in 2004. An ecoboost uses a turbo.... it's totally different, and being a Ford turbo, probably a piece of crap.... look up durability of turbos on F series trucks.

Great video. Thanks for posting. I have a 2001 Grand Prix 3800 and there is only a couple things different, The power steering pump? is on the bottom and needs to come off to get to the aft most bolt on the water pump. Other then that it was pretty similar.

You will have to lift the engine and remove the mount. The bolts you will have to remove should be visible. You might have to remove one? stud, but I can't say for sure. There are a few instruction guides available online, but a manual might be more helpful :)
