a cheesy method of Christians to get their flock to have an underdog mentality. I supposed to create a sense of urgency for followers to feel like they need to be more active to save/spread the? religion. But the truth is Christianity is the worlds' largest religion. "Outsiders" is just their method of branding (like in advertising). It makes them seem more exciting and radical. All bands do it. The Rolling Stones, Gun's and Roses, Marylin Manson and so on. It's just marketing.

This song I think raises a? very good point. Being a christian aplies that you can love because of what God has given you. (Christian) It is funny though how some christians look down on nonchristians and think they have less of a copasity to love. God gives us love, but he does not only give it to the Christians. He gives to his children which is all of us. To love like a child means to love somebody out of blind faith. It could be called ignorant love but true God made love is always pure.

i'm not particularly religious but i like them. i don't think we should judge people on their religion. and that's coming from someone who doesn't even know if she believes in God or not. any one can take any? message from a song because thats what music is about, isn't it?

i think it's funny that people think this song is about gay marriage or something not religious...apparently they have not listened to any other song by needtobreathe..or seen who they've gone on tour with..then they would know that they are definitely not for gay marriage..but i guess you can make it what you wish..just dont be shocked when you go to their concert and all? they talk about is God..

They are Christian guys... in a band... they have said many times that they don't really like being stereotyped as a "Christian Band" they have said that they want to be known as a "Rock and Roll Band From Charleston South Carolina"... they still express their? personal "beliefs" in a few of their songs... but they are a Rock and Roll Band... and that's how they like it.
