I had given money to the Church, too. Just not enough, I guess. He? was always wanting more (as he had expensive trips to go on, and he had to keep up his' expensive house and cars. And, what about his' EXTENSIVE collection of Rolex & Gucci watches that he had? And, the $1,000.00 + suits that he would wear w/the crocodile shoes? ALL THIS STUFF COSTED MONEY. And, he had 2 get the money from somewhere (from people that could BARELY afford 2 pay 4 their groceries or rent)

They want you to THINK that you had better stay close to your Pastor, though,? and that HE (through God) will get you out of your problems. Did the same thing at my Church. "You had better stay close to your Pastor because .... ." I don't see anything wrong with staying close to your Pastor. But, HE won't be able to help you or save you. It's GOD who will do that. I was trying 2 b nice about the whole thing but was crying on the? inside. Here, I had given my WHOLE life & my family almost turned against me because of my being so fanatical (like most UPC'ers r) about the whole Church thing. Volunteered so much time. And, I guess that didn't count 4 ANYTHING. I had tried 2 give money, but my Dad had cosigned 4 me 2 get a car. And, if I didn't pay that money towards the car note, then my DAD would have had 2 pay that. And, I wasn't about 2 do that 2 my Dad.111

After the service, he came? up to me and said, "Dave, you are out of EVERYTHING. You can no longer participate in anything whatsoever upfront" till you pay ALL your current tithes, your "back tithes" (cuz somewhere in the O.T., it says to "add a fifth part thereof" if u r late in paying your tithes (or something like that). And, so, conveniently, he interprets this to mean that you have to pay 5% interest. I was FLOORED (shocked beyond belief that my Pastor would do this to me). (TBC)

So, this is what happened. My Pastor went behind my back, talked to my BOSS (who also happened to go to that Church) and found out EXACTLY how much I made while working for him. He then told me at the beginning of the next? Church service that he wanted to talk to me after services. (TBC)

When I was involved with the UPC, I gave them (and Jesus) my ALL. I would be in Church EVERY TIME the doors were open. And, would go witnessing. Did bus ministry (for Sunday School kids) on Saturdays. Played the piano for youth services. And, for the convalescent ministries. Did Bible studies. Would worship God with ALL my heart and was always praying. Had a good heart and good attitude TILL MY PASTOR KICKED ME? OUT BECAUSE I DIDN'T PAY ENOUGH MONEY TO THE CHURCH (aka ... the Pastor). I'm not sure if you meant that (or whether you were saying this sarcastically). Either way, I am sorry that YOU are still involved in the UPC. Maybe one day, YOU will see what these people (speaking of the leadership, here) are all about.? And, will NOT have wasted your whole life in there (like I did). When you're involved in the Church, you CAN'T see what's going on. When you get OUT of the Church, that's when your eyes are REALLY opened to how they operated and what it's all about. (TBC)

I am? NOT saying that there aren't some good things in the Bible. Nor am I saying that I don't believe ANYTHING in the Bible (because some of it IS true). But, what I am saying is that I do NOT believe in a LITERAL Bible at all. And, I don't think it was inspired of God (because if it was, then it wouldn't have sooooo many errors and contradictions in it and wouldn't command people to do HORRIBLE things like it does so often). I could go on and on and on with the contradictions and give you verse after verse to PROVE that these ARE INDEED CONTRADICTIONS AND ERRORS. But, I don't have time to do that. Nor, do I have the patience to do that. Just type in "Bible contradictions" or "Bible errors" when you go to youtube.com. And, you will find TONS of videos which PROVE what I am saying to be true (verse after verse). And, they will show you the verses side by side so there? is NO questions whatsoever.

Yep, they have you programmed pretty well. Sounds like ME when I used to be indoctrinated. I used to be the same exact way. And, couldn't talk to ANYONE without bringing up their (UPC'S) doctrines. Would preach to them every time I saw them. And, lost a LOT of? friends doing that. Now, I realize you can't just take ONE verse (or two) out of the Bible and make a WHOLE doctrine out of it. And, besides all of that, I now realize, too, that the Bible is holy alright (but, in this case, HOLEY).

" it goes in to say in John 1:14 "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth." so if the word was God and the word became flesh that means that Jesus is God made flesh.... Yvonne, I agree with you. We must have the relationship with God. I believe Brother Jones believes that also. It is when you are in the church your relationship with the church and obedience unto God is when? He comes through for you. We must have a preacher and fellowship with God`s people if at all possible.

it is God who calls? us, is it not? if anything is subordinate to God it is nolonger God but His creation. I dont want to serve an infirior God. the Holy Spirit is God Almighty and so is still able to call/seperate people to His works consider saul's conversion/encounter with Jesus and Revelation that says there is one sitted on the throne and whom does John see in heaven on the throne?

Would you take your Oneness believe that the Son is nothing but the flesh, therefore has an end at some point, or would you rather take the word of God the Father would says that eternal life in His Son? To claim that the Son is not eternal is to call God a liar. Folks, this is what our Oneness friends teach and believe, and it goes against God's word. And here cloentongues says to believe a trinity is to call God a liar. He clearly doesn't know the Trinity doctrine.
