I am a big fan of the is-f and will be getting one here soon and awesome car dude! But this is the most impractical turbo setup I have ever seen, By the time your exhaust gasses get to the turbos from the? engine you lose a lot of pressure which causes a lot of turbo lag. I would have just bought a supercharger kit, it would have been a lot cheaper and simpler because it runs from the assembly belt so awesome car, impractical turbo setup because you cant even tune the car

With variable turbo geometry you can? eliminate the waste gate because the amount of pressure can be regulated with the moving vanes. My understanding is that variable turbine turbos? are essentially turbos that can "change gears" on the fly so that the turbine can maintain a more constant speed (or boost level) across a wide engine RPM range. Effectively, I would assume this should reduce turbo lag when spooling up from low RPM, and help prevent the turbo at high RPM from over boosting.

You should research about Australian motor history before commenting. The only reason you use V6 is because you want it to fit in a crappy FWD shell. Any motor enthusiast knows that a straight six will destroy a V6 anyday, need proof? Look at the Germans and Japanese they have straight 6 cyls that blow the doors of any V6. The Aussie 4.0L DOHC 24valve VCT engine can match the power of Skylines anyday, however its in a Ford that is RWD and behaves? alot like European sport sedans. Pick up a book!

You could always import a falcon turbo...or just buy an engine....you could get a complete 2nd hand engine out of a wreak for like 5-9 g and import it to where you live...Or buy and atomic built long motor and use process west and other aftermarket gear and make something like this....You can get over 500hp at the flywheel for next to nothing on these things....With the fg falcon you just need a decent intercooler exhaust and tune and you make a lot more....easy 10's in 1800kg car?

Gota be honest here, its a lota huff and puff but if it cant lay the power down and hookup its not fast. ALOT has to be done with this car in order to get it actually going. Wastegate or wastegate controller is used to control the amount of boost that the turbocharger is making, whereas a blow off valve is used to vent extra pressure when? you let off of the throttle to prevent that extra pressure from surging back to the compressor wheel and potentially causing the turbocharger to "bark" or slowing down the compressor wheel, and potentially causing damage.

The waste gate? is there to stop the turbo from OVER boosting. If a turbo didnt have a waste gate, you'd put your foot down, and as the revs rise the turbo would just keep making more and more boost until your engine blew up.

You cannot shut off a turbo charged engine after making a pull like that. The oil remaining in the turbos just coaked and galled the shafts. The only way you could do that is if it has a? dry sump system.

A small guy like Dani Pedrosa can get right under the screen and can get good streamlining, but a big lanky guy like? the late Marco Simonchelli wouldn't be able to get to the same speed. I remember when Bayliss was at Ducati in the MotoGP. He was always about 10 km/h slower on the straights than his team mate. His elbows would stick out of the bubble and the extra drag would slow him down. Peace to ya bro.

Guys stop arguing. I've been riding for 30 years. An F1 will shit all over a MotoGPbike around a lap. They make more than their own weight in downforce. Around Suzuka F1 lap 1'31" by Raikkonen on a MotoGP 2'04" by Rossi in 2002. Bikes have no downforce, in fact the opposite, the faster? you go the more they lift. Casey Stoner's 2009 Ducati made about 10kg downforce on the front wheel when he was going over 250 km/h. F1's are quicker but gayer and MotoGP require bigger cojones for sure.
