The 2014? IPL G37 coupe is getting a 3.7 liter twin turbo V6 producing a potent 530 HP inspired by the GTR all while riding on the C-class coupe platform with a longer wheel base due to Mercedes Benz and Infiniti being partners. The M1 a masterpiece?? That's laughable...have you seen that atrocious car? I love BMW but the 1 series should have been denied its birth right, that thing should have been aborted. IPL is a premature performance segment, its wasn't to long ago that the M3 only had 333 HP

Kinda pointless getting a 1M with a 0-60 of 4.5 when you could get? a 135i with DCT and get a 4.6 (According to Car and driver) and not even have to shift. Ofcourse around a track the 1M makes sense i guess

I see what you're saying. But I must disagree. Forget about which car model and their performance equivalents seem to match-up. Physically, these cars fit an IDENTICAL niche. I could totally see myself comparing these in order to buy one. They do the same thing, and are the same by all parameter I can currently? think of. Seats 4, around same power, shape, and volume (arguably price, too.) This match is more fitting than TTrs, SLK, and Z4M.

It was confirmed 3 days ago that the 2014 Infiniti G coupe will compose a 3.7-liter direct injection, twin-turbocharged V-6 that will generate upwards of 530 HP targeting the? likes of the Mercedes C63 AMG and BMW M3. According to Infiniti the next IPL G coupe should be priced on par with the Mercedes C63 AMG. Mercedes Benz and Infiniti are now partners so you guys can expect similar pricing & smaller platforms from Mercedes Benz filter into Infiniti.

That car looks great but #1. It's over $300k, so 3 times more than a GTR. #2. Even with 750? hp, it does 0-60 in 4.3 sec, not 2.8 (with 530-540hp on the GTR), so it's still much slower early on and obviously really inefficient cause it's RWD only. #3. It's not stock, it's modified by a company. At $300k+, you can compare it to Lambos and Ferrari's and it gets raped by a lot of them. :P

HAHA. Spoken by a pissed off TT owner. Go back to work and dress someone's hair. What it can best is irrelevant if it drives like a pile of crap. It is a crap chassis. It's also a fairly shit 4wd system for fast stuff? because it relies on there being wheelspin to move the power about. That means you have to be past the tyres limits on one end before the other end even starts to play. You say you've been in both? On what - forza or GT5? You haven't driven them fast or you would understand.

I would never take a tt-rs over and r8, but for the cost and the performance. EVERYbody agrees it's unbeatable, and IS NOT A CRAP CHASIS, that it's one of the easiest fast to drive cars there is. Anyways I've been in? both cars on a track, not a v10. The tt-rs is awesome for 56k

What a bunch of morons who's? commenting on this video! Of course the R8 is going to be better than the TT RS! With a price tag of around 200 Grand with 200 more horsepower, it DAMN WELL better be the "better car". But lets also not forget, the R8 V10 hits 0-60 in 3.9, while the TT RS hits it in 4.2. That's 3 seconds slower than the R8! The TT RS was meant to be the "Poor mans R8" and it fits that claim quiet well! Sure, a Sport Compact will never come close to a Supercar. But this TT almost did!

I am so excited to have seen a car review that pitted a man in a machine with the Tail of the Dragon. I wrote to FLD years ago inviting them to the famed winding mountain road. I've been there three years in a row to participate in "OTD" events aka OutSMARTing the Dragon. Each year a massive owner group of Smart cars descends on the region. The past two years were based out of the Fontana Resort. This road is tucked into the mountain side and throws over 300 winding curves in about 11 miles?

I'm one of the few Harley's that doesnt take their time going through the tail. I go as fast as I can through it. I'm not on a bagger like most of the riders up there, my bike doesnt have bags, so I can take the turns a whole lot better and faster. Not saying that I'm fast on? the curves compared to sport bikes and etc, but I certainly dont take my time.

Hast du vollkommen recht. Es hängt immer von Messmethode, Temperatur/Luftfeuchtigkeit und Belag ab. - Meine Messwerte sind? EWG. - Habe mit dem neuen 911 (Carrera S) einen vergleichbaren Lauf gemacht, und der braucht fast 2 Sek länger.

Es ist eben auch immer eine Frage der Messung(methode). Damit sag ich nicht, dass du mogelst, aber du wirst es nicht unter den Werks- sowie? AMS/Sportauto Bedingungen machen. So auch die 390PS Angabe, die wird sich so mutmaße ich, sicherlich auf DIN beziehen. Die 340PS Werksangabe sind 1) EG und 2) ein Plateu. Das kommt in der Realität meist nicht raus, daher sind die Pmax werte dann immer etwas über der Werksplateu-Angabe.

Ich gebe dir teilweise recht. Der von mir verlinkte RS mit unter 12 Sek 0-200 ist natürlich auch nicht Serie (sondern Hohenester Chiptuning. Sonst nichts). Aber beim TT RS streut? die Serie extrem nach oben. Zudem gibt es deutliche Unterschiede zwischen den TT RS vor ca. 04/2011 und denen danach. Meiner hatte Serie 390 statt 340 PS (zertifiziert). Auch ging er im Durchschnitt mit 3,9 Sek 0-100 km/h (PerformanceBox GPS), statt der 4,3 Sek. der Serienangabe.

Realistisch betrachtet ist das ein überdurchschnittlicher Wert für einen? TT RS Serie. Der Durschnittswert aus diversen Tests ist kurz über 16sec. Außer der Hohenester bei Minusgraden sind alle getesteten getunten TTRS bei mind 15 (auch der MTM mit geändertem Turbo!). Der RS3 braucht durchschnittlich in allen Test 17.5sec

Nach Zeitmessung vom Tacho braucht der TT RS hier auch ca. 15 Sek von 0-200 km/h. Das wäre für einen TT RS ein eher unterdurchschnittlicher Wert - passt aber zum RS3. Interessant sind beim? TT RS die Tuningmöglichkeiten. Reines Chip-Tuning und der RS fährt in unter 13 Sek. auf 200! Bei aktuellem Wetter unter 12 Sek. Youtube-Video: l08yvkgo3iA

Das kann eigentlich nicht sein, bin schon 4 Jahre im TTRS Freunde Forum unterwegs und kenne mich daher sehr gut damit aus... Und bis heute hab ich das ESP Zeichen noch nie auf dieser Seite gesehen, egal welches Modelljahr oder welches? TT-Modell... daher schon sehr eigenartig... Das US-Modell kann es auch nicht sein, da dieses ja keine S-Tronic hat... auf jedenfalls sehr sehr interessant ;)

Noch eine Frage.... was für einen eigenartigen TTRS habt Ihr da eigentlich... Wenn ich mir anschaue, wo das ESP Zeichen ist (nämlich auf dem Tachometer und nicht Drehzahlmesser) würde? ich denken, dass es sich im Video doch eher um einen RS3 handelt ;)

Verdammt verwackelt, aber nein die Launch Control funktioniert egal in welchem Modus identisch. Wir haben es mit unserem Messequipement getestet.? Beide 0-100/0-200-Zeiten waren identisch... Das Video ist nicht bei unserer offiziellen Zeitmessung entstanden....

None of what he said is true. According the Audi site, it puts out 360 hp @ 5500 - 6700 rpm, 18 mpg city/25 mpg/20 mpg combined (nowhere close to the 30 mpg this clown says, and its 0 - 60 time is? 4.1 seconds...not 4.5.

@frambesbuckeye - If 0 - 60 is your main concern; I'd be looking at pure enjoyment to? drive, and no DSG offers that for me as I tend to skip two or more gears at a time all the time, and DSG doesn't work when you do that.

yes, people, 3.6 second 0-62 mph (100 km/h) is correct. its due to the launch contol that comes with the transmission in this tt rs. unfortunately, we will only get the manual and not the dual clutch box this has. in the full review they say the 5-62 time was? something like 4.5 seconds which is about what we will get with the manual. i say, forget the manual. i don't care about the "experiece" of driving, i want to go fast easily.

after going on their website(CarandDriver) their comparison test also came up 3.6 for the TT RS, so therefore. . . the audi r8 and r8 v-10 have some catching up to do to this bargain audi rocket lol.? which only can mean, the next r8 is going to absolutely serve hell to the nissan gt-r and porsche 911 turbo s. im psyched to see what they can come up with.

It's incredible value if you consider that it's only 7 grand more than the top of the line TT-S. You get an almost completely different? drive train along with all the other goodies. I wouldn't be surprised if Audi are losing money on this car.

TTRS will have 600+ hp shortly. May not be as fast as GTR but it is cheaper, more economical, cheaper to maintain and repair, smaller, lighter, looks better inside and? outside, a real sleeper. It even launches harder than GTR (tested by Car&Driver, Veyron: 1.09G, Panamera Turbo 1.02G, TTRS: 1.01G, GTR and 911TurboS: 0.96G). I am not dissing GTR, if you have money, are after big power and you have place where to use it, 960Hp is nice. I'd go for 9ff though:7.6s to 200kmh, 14.2 to 300.
