It's actually a pretty good point. The soldiers are programmed to think of the "enemy" as if they were evil caricatures inhumane so do not feel bad when they kill someone's husband, someone's son or someone's father. So you? see constantly in the news to people in the U.S. talking about how bad is the death of several thousand soldiers, but little mention a hundred times that many civilians.
