Probably. Tiger did MC last month at Turnberry. He is able to recover from errant tee shots at most courses, last month, he could not. Watson hit his drives about 15 yards further in '09 than in '77.? And the course was about 400 yards longer in 09.

I think this is probably what confused you. There is currently pressure being put on by politicians in northern Ireland to rebrand the name to Team UK so that it is inclusive to the many northern Ireland olympians who represent the united kingdom of GB and northern Ireland. Nothing will ever come close to the 1986 Masters, Nicklaus' last major win. However, my point is, Jack has given us such great moments in defeat. Completely agree. I'm tired of those people who say he should have? stayed with Butch; he shouldn't be thinking technically on the course, etc. He NEEDS to be thinking mechanically, at least for a while. He's undergone a swing change. How can a golfer ever expect to become good at something if they don't focus on what they are doing? And the injury in 2011 made it seem even longer. I think it's mostly mental now. He needs to get old patterns out of his head get comfortable with the new stuff.

How can you even justify saying that? He is playing great; obviously there has been the odd round that has gone south, but he is still finishing in the top 10 consistently.? Next time you pick up a 6 iron or 5 iron, stop trying to do so much with? the shot, just hit a stock shot into the middle of the green. It's definitely mental my man. Follow this rule if you want to shoot consistently low, only go at the flag when your yardage is less than 120, at all other times simple hit the middle of the green and except par as a great score !! dave marsh

great videos..... need some advice on something... I play golf? everyday and seem to have no problem shooting par or better from 6600-6700 yards. I just seem to get stuck on my 5 and 6 irons. I have no problem from 175 with a 7 iron. I also have the 205 to 215 area covered with 3 and 4 hybrid. BUT the gap there is KILLING me. Don't understand why I hit all my irons so well and suck with my 5 and 6. Might be a mental thing IDK... Seem to get stuck!!!! any advice. THANKS

This was all a gigantic fuss about nothing, but what does make me laugh is that the media singled out Faldo for his comments at the 2005 Buick Invitational. In case they didn't notice, Faldo critqued Tiger's swing at several subsequent tournaments - as is his right and? opinion. In fact, he was at it again at the final Western Open 10 days before Hoylake! Media, when you're attempting to generate a hot-air story, at least stay a bit more current events with it. :-/

i think tiger and michael jordan share a common problem: in the process of dominating their? sport, they unnecessarily created this attitude in themselves that just makes absolutely everybody out to be an enemy/obstacle. then they just play it down as being 'competitive' and 'that's what it takes to win'. tiger has this chip on his shoulder he needs to realize isn't even there. it's one thing to be competitive, but it's another thing to be vindictive, grudge-bearing and hateful.

I love Nick Faldo. I idolized him. I still do. He is a great commentator and is never afraid to? poke fun at himself. I even went as far as picking up a set of Mizuno MP 29's and a ping b60 putter. That is how much I like him. I always wondered why people didn't like Faldo but they liked Norman. Norman and Woods are jerks. Now, I would think that playing golf with Tiger would be like being alone. But, I did meet Faldo at Torrey Pines in '96 and he signed a ball for me. That rules.

I disagree! A difficult one to call. Faldo is a classical player (a modern day Harry Vardon) who strategically played the course whereas Woods is pure power like Greg Norman (but with more mental strength than the shark). You also have to take away the technology as today's clubs are space age against what was available in the late 80's & early 90's. Faldo shot -18? to win at St Andrews with steel shafts, two piece balls & woodern drivers. Woods shot -19 with graffite shafts & jumbo drivers etc

theirs putting is super good, which makes them a tour player. to be in the tour, you need to have a putter that the guys you play with just want to snap it for you!! we all hit greens, as much as they do, or more and less.closer shots etc. they call a 15foot shot from 150 yards a pretty good shot, some of the greens people play on are much smaller when you hit one 15 foot away form the? hole you are talking about being at the other side of the green. The big tour putting surfaces are huge
