My 3 wood is also the same length as driver in the 90s. I got my dad's old Taylormade V-steel woods refitted with? Aldila voodoo shaft and golf pride grip and that voodoo was taken from a 909D2 driver a cut it down by one inch. So I got a 44 inch 3 wood technically that's the standard length of driver.

The driver is INCREDIBLE! I bought it last week..Hit it into the screen at Golftown 340yrds total..swing speed 130mph..they have to crank the screen up because I have never hit a driver that far before..without wind or a generous bounce off the cart path of course lol..I especially never had a swing? speed over 115mph. I came on to the shot..swung my dick off..but still..those numbers..at least for me..are personal bests. It felt great too..highly recommend it..i went with the tour model.

Nice club, but these things aren't even 3 woods anymore. This was the driver of the 90's... same length shaft, same size head, similar lofted face, with more MOI. Put that in the? hands of a long hitter, and you're going to get over 300 yrds anyway.

I demoed the R11 and I hated it. It made a weird sound and it? gave me less confidence not being able to tell when I hit a good shot. I had the R9 and found that my R9 460 was a lot more forgiving than the R11. I would go with the Callaway Octane

The burner driver is not crap taylormade dont make crap both drivers are good R11 & burner both made to? suit all players. I had the R11 and now i got the burner i find the burner alot more forgiving and if hit right it go very long. I hit mine close to 300 yards the other day. Check it out you be surprised how good the burner is.

I love my TM Superfast 2.0 TP! Smaller head..slightly heavier shaft and has a toe weight that keeps me from snap hooking? the ball.. which is also a major plus for a tour pro! You can find the TP versions of these drivers on Ebay for much cheaper than retail.

@redrock883 I have worked in a golf shop since 2005 and even the heads? are different. The serial number starts with T. In addition I own a Superfast Tour issue and the head is more aerodynamic and the face is hotter. When Taylormade builds the tour issued stuff NOT TP they spend more time and money building the clubs.

I have hit both the Diable driver and Razr X irons at the PGA Demo day and Golfest in Tampa. The equipment is excellent. I have a Razr 2 hybrid in my bag at this time. If you hit the sweet spot of any brand name equipment, you will have great results. ? Funny thing about "hitting the irons longer"... When they make the shafts longer and strengthen the lofts like they do and just stamp a 7 on what is really a 6 for other companies, it makes it HARDER to hit. Less loft = increased sidespin = increased chance for misses. You've still got to make a nice inside pass and hit the center of the? face. Good marketing though, the increased distance thing.

I thought these clubs were solid, but not in my top two. He compares these to Callaway, but Callaway makes the worst clubs in the business. I tested all these clubs in this class. Mizuno is the way? to go imo. I also think the Titleist A 1,2's are far superior to Taylor's comparable clubs. Basically from my personal standpoint I think Mizuno and Titleist are the best. I wouldn't piss on a Callaway if it was on fire.

I've been in the market for new irons for awhile. Yesterday I ordered the R9's w/ -2 degrees flat and the KBS 90 shafts. I spent 2 hours with the local shop doing swing analysis, etc. and it came down to the R9, the Ping I15's, the Adams Idea A7's,? and the Mizuno MX's. It was a tough decision, but as the video says, the R9 has that extra edge in distance and smash factor. Can't wait to get these on the course.

The settings are not 'just a gimmick'. Some players prefer a closed face, others an open face, etc., What's more you can adjust the weights to change the swing weight to suit the shaft you're using. And you can position them to make the head toe or heal 'heavy'. If your swing or preferences change, you can make adjustments to suit. No need to buy another driver. I have the Superdeep version and have set it up just? the way I like it, resulting in a driver that suits me to a 'tee'. :)

Mark Crossfield I disagree with you completely. I saw your comparison review of the TP CB and the R11 and it was flawed in many ways. First of all, you compared only the 6 iron, which is very similar in both sets. Had you compared the short irons in the sets, you would have found that the sizes and shapes are very different. The TP CB's have a mid-sized head in all the irons from 3-AW while the R11 irons are progressive. The feel is also? quite different. Please make more informed reviews.

Ive tested these R11 irons in las vegas last week and i found them the same as the forged cavity back irons just with a R11 badge on them. They have a larger head like the burner 2.0 irons for forgiveness but i dont see the point of releasing? them. When you got 3 sets of forged irons to suit all. Not sure if there be a tp version but there is a new R11 driver on its way the 460cc head version will be here soon

ok... retarded... the forged irons they came out with this past year are fine. There is no point in launching these for playability purposes. It's? just so players have an iron to match their driver. It is almost the same model as the CavityBack. As a Taylor Made player, and as a sales associate at Golf Galaxy, I just don't have a reason to condone these irons. The prices between the Burners and the R models have always been about a $300 difference. The forged irons are $900. Just too redundant

I`ve tried both. The 1.0 s are way more powerful. If you can find a set with shafts to match YOUR swing, you can`t go wrong. The 2.0 s look great,? are pretty good but a little disappointing compared to the originals IMO.

Yes I? would, they are great clubs and pretty forgiving in my opinion. You can hit great distances aswell! I baught them from American Golf for £300, so I would recommend you buy from there.

I baught the Burner 09's a couple of days ago, pleased so far, couldn't hit so well at first but i have just taken the step up from ladies clubs to mens as I am only 14 and I am also only a Handicap 25. Struggled slightly at first on the range, hit a few well, but as soon? as i got out onto the course I improved a lot and hit pretty well with them. But we'll see if they do the job when I go out onto the course in the Monthly Medal. So far i love them, very powerful and forgiving clubs!

The only thing i dislike is the open closed face angle feature. It doesn't change anything. This method doesn't work on a grassy surface. The face angle does not change in relation to the shaft like is offered by nike and other makers. All that's? adjusted is the way in which the red dial meets the ground and when the ground is not solid i.e grassy you notice no difference at all. Its a joke.
