They were about to score a go ahead touchdown but Cruz botched a catch and the line was stacked and the Giants threw right into it. Another interception was when the ball was thrown up for grabs at the end of the game. Also, keep in mind, Romo's playing in doors. This gets? away from the point of what I said in the first place, Eli Manning was way ahead of Romo even in the stats category at one point of the season.

Eli vs Romo this season: 65.1% completion, 373 yards, 2.5 touchdowns, 0.5 interceptions. 113.7 rating. I averaged the numbers from the only 2 games the Cowboys and Giants played this season. I did the calculations myself so please feel free to double check, just in case I made a mistake, don't just take my word for it. My argument is not whether or not Romo is better than Eli. All I said was that Romo, in? my opinion, had a better season than Eli, not a better career (although I could probably make a valid case for that too). I agree with you when you said people would trade stats for a championship, but I'm looking at things from a statistical point of view. You're right about the 8-4 but I'm only talking about this season. Romo vs Eli this season: 73.1%, 305 yards, 3 td, 0.5 int 123.7 rating.

Sure Eli threw for 420 yards. Great game, it was? a season high in yards for him. However, the Giants still lost that game by 9, so the turnovers really hurt them. And you said it yourself, Eli had more pass attempts which resulted in him getting more yards, however Romo has the better percentage so technically it would be safe to say, had Romo had as many pass attempts as Eli, Romo would have a higher total than him. Eli for his career: 58.4% completion. Romo for his career: 64.5%.

Thanks for the info. I have all? six of the Steelers' Lombardi-winning games on DVD. I did'nt think the Cowboys did a gadget play in SB XII that resulted in a TD. I'll have to watch that game again. I don't think the Bears would have won with Jay Cutler, although he certainly is a better QB and would have done better. The Colts were just an all around better team that year, once Bob Sanders came back, they were tremendous. They locked down their run defense in the playoffs, and for once had a VERY decent defense.
