"entirely new basic panel" ahem.... nope. that look's pretty similar to the one you get when, you know... you open Camera Raw files in CS.... 5 i believe? 5.5? i don't remember. anyhow, that's not new. at all. it's just been rewritten to work with cellphones.... if you don't know, if you had a CR2 (Camera Raw format) from a DSLR, this is the interface you get when opening in either CS 5 or CS 5.5. i'm? not impressed.

You can use some software called AutoHotKey to map whatever character you want on your keyboard to the Photoshop defaults. You can also hold alt and scroll up or down to zoom in/out.? You can hold Ctrl+Alt+RightClick and move the cursor left or right to increase/decrease brush size.

Because, you can see all of your other layers behind your current layer or in front, but you can't see them in front and behind at the same time. So if you have? 3 layers, and want to edit the 2nd layer, there's no way to see the first layer below and the 3rd layer above? while liquifying the second like it'll appear in your final image. If liquify were in the main interface klike a normal transform tool, it would do this automatically.

PSD files are even larger than TIF. Some files can easily surpass 1 GB if they contain a lot of Photoshop layers and I've worked on plenty of them. The RAW files from the 60 megapixel PhaseOne camera here are around 60 megabytes.? That's 8984 x 6732 pixels or 29.947" x 22.44", exported @ 300 ppi. 1200ppi is severe overkill and only serves to quickly eat up your drive space. 300ppi is magazine quality resolution and nothing higher is ever really necessary.

Why not? just select the Show Backdrop options in the Liquify tool panel which enables file layers to be viewed along with the layer you're editing in Liquify?

Thanks for the tip, switched it out with "go to next/previous brush" - . and , I guess my comment came out of general frustration with what I consider very bad inter-program optimization. I.e. almost all tools have different shortcuts across Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign and After Effects -- and work? differently. For example, why on earth have pen? tool work differently? Different shortcut, different workflow, different modifier keys and different options. You cannot justify this sloppiness!

(on Windows it is? above Preferences on the Edit menu, not sure on Mac) - Switch "Shortcuts For:" to Tools - Scroll down to "Decrease Brush Size" and choose something appropriate on your keyboard If it helps, I'll torture myself to try to feel your pain: àáéêíóüã¡¡. Nope. Not it. What you are going through *is* worse. Brush size requiring modifier keys is horrible. For heavens sake, change your brush size shortcut!!!

I have to admit that my eyes were dripping wet throughout the show. If you watched the show from the first episode you become part of it. The music, the? drama, the laughs. Yeah it was corny sometimes but that didn't matter. These people became part of your life. Ok, its not for everyone but for most people they got some enjoyment out of it. I know I will continue to watch next season. I reserve judgment when I see it. There will never be another like the original cast members.

I would imagine that such events would happen, but then I hear the argument, "It's for the sake of art." It boils down to preference: The art of the candid, raw shot or the art of a digital remake. You do have a good point, but as far a work ethics go in the Photojournalism world,? you are not aloud to manipulate your images at all. You can correct colour and a few other subtle things, but must not mislead viewers or misrepresent subjects. There have been cases in which Photojournalists have not adhered to these strict guidelines and have lost their jobs and been banished from the industry forever. Im sure as a designer you look into different areas of photoshop than we do. I never get to use lightroom. As a digital tech I often find myself having to use either capture one or phocus, depending on the camera we use for a particular production. Most of the time we shoot with an IQ, so, capture one? it is. Don't get me wrong. I am enjoying the new photoshop as it is a lot faster when we shoot 80Megapixels and we will deffinitely upgrade all our licenses.

As a graphic designer, I have to disagree. There are a number of features (and many not shown in this video) that are going to definitely speed up my workflow will all types of design work. Spending half the time on some projects is definitely useful. I could see that a photographer may be a little disappointed, but I did hear lightroom has been overhauled? - you should look into it!

As a professional retoucher, i couldn't care less about any of these new features. I guess there are professionals who will enjoy them. All I really care about CS6 is that some processes are done by the GPU, it runs faster and some previous features? have been brought closer to what they should behave like from day one. (command-F Liquify being one of them). To me, CS6 is really CS5.5... It's an excelent program and an industry standard but there's nothing USELFULLY groundbreaking about it.

It looks great, but I'd like to know whether the 3D options can be numerically controlled. Using the 3D options in? PS5 is difficult when the goal is to get the same result for multiple graphics. For example, I made a series of 3D text headers and it was difficult to drag the object and its lighting into the same place intuitively each time, so I ended up rasterizing, chopping up the different surfaces, and adjusting their colors by eyeballing it. I really wanted numerical controls.
