So you think a veyron in stock trim will lap lemans in a similar time to an LMP car? Or double the top speed of nearly all the normal cars (remember most are limited to 155 these days)? A veyron brings no new tech or design to the world - it's just two rs4 engines glued together (well kind? of) in a big, fat slug body. It's great as a GT car and the top speed is impressive (even though it was then bettered by a car with a V8 from the 50's) but it's not moved tha game on one jot.

Actually, aside? from the One-77, the V12 Vantage is the quickest Aston, faster than a DBS. It's also the sportiest car Aston makes. Furthermore, the SLS itself is a GT car rather than a what you call a "supercar". It's definitely not designed to post the fastest lap times on a track. If the V12 Vantage is not the closest competitor of the SLS, than what is?

The One-77 isn't exactly a fair competitor for the SLS, but both are supercars at least. The V12 Vantage isn't designed to? deliver very fast 0-60 speeds, top speed, or be raced against the clock on the track. It's a grand tourer, not a supercar. No reviewer or professional refers to the V12 Vantage as a supercar, only a grand tourer and/or sport car.

SLS is a supercar,? V12 Vantage isn't. SLS and One-77 are closer rivals, excluding price. "better car" is quite subjective... Aston Martins are about handcrafted, exclusive, premium quality although they don't slouch on performance either. The closest car Benz has to rival Aston Martin is the CL class which is about to be killed off (and S class for sedans I guess).

Interestingly the 911 does perform better (3.0 sec? 0-60 vs. 3.8) and it's more reliable. Consumer reports ranks it better than any Benz. It doesn't have a carbon fiber body but its top speed is 312 so it doesn't look like it needs it and since you can't hit 335 or 312 outside a track anyway it doesn't matter. Ultimately the SLR costs more. Much more. To me not worth it. It's also more expensive than that Lambo you said it's better than; once again we have an unfair comparison on our hands.

Ich bin zwar kein Mann vom Fach bei Carbon, aber ich denke so teuer ist Carbon nun auch wieder nicht, das ein Unterschied von 250.000 ? herrschen nur weil der McLaren SLR Carbon Teile aufzuweisen hat. Dieser wiegt laut wikipedia mindestens 1768 kg und? dabei schwerer als der SLS. Es wäre schön wenn der SLS wie der 722 GT ein Gewicht von 1390 kg aufzuweisen würde und >über 600 PS wäre auch nett. ;) Damit die Konkurrenz wie GT2 RS wegzuwischen.

Ein? nettes Feature wäre auch noch ,wie dies auch schon ein Edeltuner anbietet, selbstschließende Flügeltüren. Besonders für kleine Menschen sehr Vorteilhaft. Laut Tests sollte man auch noch die Reaktionszeit des DCT bzw. MCT Getriebes verbessern, was ich persönlich aber nicht kenne da "nur" in einem SLS gesessen habe. Man sah Videos wo man den Schaltpaddle drückte und das Getriebe mit einer Verzögerung erst runter bzw hochschaltete. Das können andere auch besser.

Hallo, bei einem AMG kommt es doch sicherlich nicht mehr auf den Preis an. Besonders? nicht wenn der SLS einen Mindestpreis von 186.000 ? hat. Der SLS hat soweit ich richtig informiert bin eine sehr hohe Kundenanfrage. Ein Audi R8 5.2 FSI hat ein Leergewicht von 1700 kg mit Allrad und V10 Motor der sicherlich schwerer ist der SLS 1.695 kg laut den Homepages der jeweiligen Marke.

Wieso hat? AMG einen Supersportwagen hergestellt was so schwer ist? Man hätte ihn doch wenigstens aus Carbon herstellen können dann würde er das perfekte Sportwagen sein.
