Big thanks for this fantastic video :) . I was wondering what size that sleeving is? (perhaps I missed it) I am looking for sources in the UK and see there are many sizes and I'm not sure? which to get. There are 1.6, 2.4 . 3.2, 4.8, . 6.4mm etc etc up to 50.8mm sizes . What size would you recommend for power supply and SATA cables?

Not bad,? but it's a lot better if you put the shrink stuff in 2 layers, under and above the sleeve, and also put it OVER the 4 pin connector, so that you don't see any colored wires

I tried both scotch tape and masking tape. The scotch tape came off quite easy and also left glue residue on the pins. The masking tape DID sit much? better there, as you mention, but it is considerably thicker than scotch tape and a bit harder to wrap around the pins. I chose to use heatshrink because it's so easy to apply and also quite easy to remove afterwards.

Modular cables have pins in both ends, yes. In that case, you pop out the wire from both ends, apply heat shrink to the pin in one end. Then, pull the paracord over that pin and attach the paracord using the locking method for pins? at the opposite end - and, finally, do the same in the end you pulled the paracord over. The procedure is the same as I show in the video, with the exception that you don't need to create an anchor in one end since pins are attached to both ends already.

This causes a working action up and down which makes the sleeve burrow itself into the aluminum causing the sleeve to sink. Sleeves sink for a few reasons only. One: the sleeve is not properly seated. Two: overheating causing the aluminum to? soften up at the seat. Three: Detonation. So, the answer is yes we warranty the block from the sleeves sinking due to an installation error but we do not warranty blocks that have been overheated and or detonated. And its extremely easy to see if you overheated them or detonated the engine during an inspection.

I had a SR20DET block sleeved (closed deck). I had the car tuned. It made really good power, but I ran into an overheating issue driving the car home. After taking the motor apart we noticed piston one had some scuffing on the side where it overheated and started rubbing against the sleeve. The rest of the pistions looked great. Once the coolant passages were pressurized we noticed the bottoms of? the sleeves leaking. Is it possible to repair a sleeved block? I don't need a door stopper.

John, I seriously doubt that you would be able to produce 1000HP from only 3.3 liters of displacement. Correct me if I'm wrong, but? as a general rule, aren't most NA engines only good for about 100HP/1000cc and turbocharged about 200HP/1000cc?To make a 3.3 liter engine produce essentially 300HP/1000cc, you would need two turbos and I doubt it would be reliable.

Yes, I understand that. But there still is alot of difference in quality between them in the ones that I have seen. For example the Grizzly is really bad? unless they have improved some by now.

Really nice tutorial buddy! the? anti tangle tool does have a name, they are called "fids" and are normally used for rope splicing. there are some really nice commercially available fids and plenty of home grown ideas that work just as well.
