Hey you people who keep bitching about how the mustang would be faster than the Taurus SHO if it was a V8, in all? seriousness, it wouldn't be. The V8 in a Mustang GT and GT500 is insane huge, weighing way more than the Taurus' 3.5l V6. And the Mustang Gt's V8 only produces about 360hp, the Taurus' Twin-Turbocharged V6 produces 365hp and 360ft-lb torque to all four wheels without flinching. But, really the point of this is to show that the Ford Taurus SHO is an insanely powerful full-sized sedan.

They are great cars! My aunt has one and me and her daughter just took it out for a spin! I have never? driven a full-size sedan that could get up to 60 in 5 seconds! I was able to get it up 135mph in alittle under a mile. It is definitely in my top favorite full-size sedans. (:

Wrong. This was tuned and? has minor bolt on's. Maybe $1500 if that in mods. Also, the 5.0 stang can go faster and get similar mpg. Mater of fact, we have seen 31mpg in a 5.0.

This most likely the SHO Hennessy MAXXBOOST 445. They do 0-60 in 4.1-4.3 seconds and the 1/4 in 12.4-12.8. It's a $5000 bolt? on kit. And for the dumb ass that said a 5.0L V8 can do better with the same mods, no shit dumb ass this is a 3.5L V6 that get 2x the MPG you dumb fuck

Not very impressive considering the 5.0L Boss Mustang gets into? the 10s with the same mods and some street slicks. Ford could have put the 5.0L in the Crown Vic, saved their money on retooling a whole assembly plant, and just kept the Panther design with a revamped interior and exterior.

Well,in Kanazawa Sensei's school it's known as Dai? but with most of the other Nakayama Sensei practitioners including the JKA this Kata is Gojushiho-Sho! Sho and Dai used to be both one Kata in the old days and according to the school and Sensei they were different in different areas. I wouldn't wouldn't worry too much about Sho and Dai as this is only a way of differentiating them from each other other....Gojushihi ONE and Gojushiho TWO!

This is the JKA version of? Gojushiho Sho. The SKIF version is Gojushiho Dai. Kanazawa Kancho changes the names of the forms for SKIF as he believed the bigger movements should be in the kata named Dai and vice versa.

Sensei Ohta is wisiting us every year but this will be my 1st seminar becouse I've returned to training karate from my 10 years breake. In November 2010 I was on seminar with Sensei Hideo Ochi. Sensei Ohta is probably the most technically perfect karateka I've ever seen and trained with. But I sometimes wonder if his techniques are too clean and crisp. E.g. Sensei Yahara makes many small 'errors' and his technique is nowhere near as? perfect as Sensei Ohta's, but the Karatenomichi leader's katas are neverless awesome to watch and somehow more soulful. What do you think?

I toally agree with you. The first run is usually quite fast, anyway. This is probably the speed acording? to his interpreation and particular condition. The second run is - to my pleasure - slow and more instructive. I do not train Shotokan but I enjoy a lot watching Kanazawa San´s videos, as they are very similar to what I learned.

I bought an '89 SHO in 2005 for $1000. It was an amazing car to drive. The red line on the odometer was tiny; in second gear I could run it up to 7500 rpm and be close to? 60 mph before shifting into 3rd. It looked like a crappy old Taurus with a body kit, but it really hauled ass. The seats in it were comfortable with big bolsters on the side that held you in the seat when driving like a lunatic. It was my first sedan with a 5 speed manual, which made it extra fun. It had a keypad on the doo

I've only owned GM cars but I have a soft spot for these old Tauruses. My mom had a '91. I learned to drive in it and it is one of the best handling cars I've? ever driven...and it is a WAGON!! We should have put the Yamaha engine in it...talk about a sleeper lol. Thanks for posting.

Yeah... I know Thomas92. My point for saying that is that almost every auto manufacturer eventually relents to public opinion and put a whole bunch of BS on cars for people that are "non-car people". Unfortunately, non-car people buy the overwhelming majority of new? cars. Now, something like 60% of new cars are bought by women. That should be real interesting.. I'll defer to Adam Corolla's last book on this subject because it fits right in. Peace.

I don't think Sonata, Camry, and Accord compares to Taurus. Fusion does. Fusion is a mid-size; Taurus is a full size. For a true comparison to the Ford Taurus -- try Hyundai Azera or Hyundai Genesis, Toyota Avalon, Nissan Maxima,? and Chrysler 300/Dodge Charger.

Only if you have a couple of thousand dollars you want to spend. Sho's are a pain to maintain. You have to tune them with melted wax, and heat them over a fire to dry out the spittle. You can find the comparable Chinese Sheng, of Laotian Khaen on? ebay. Both beautiful sounding instruments for around $100.
