yes, i know about clairfontaine. i was born in the US but my parents are from france, and i've followed the french men's team since 1998. zidane was my favorite player of all time. you're lucky to be training there and perhaps you will play for the french? women's national team who played really well in the last world cup until they were finally defeated by the US in the semifinal. i agree that there is too much money in the men's game but the US men have some stars too (donovan, dempsey, howard)

i always thought, "if the US team? is ever going to be any good, they have to stomp lessor competition and show they can actually score a few goals"....i was really encouraged by the interaction and positive offensive movement....too often in the past, the US, if they win, it's by 1 goal and usually done by pure passion and athleticism, not offensive creativity....

Why did levein accept this match?At the end of a long season and in blistering heat the players mentaly were already on holiday.In contrast the? USA were fresh and ready as world cup games are upcoming.I can assure if this game was played again in mid season it would be very different.

Oof. Sorry bro, I'm as big a US fan as they come, but saying we can win the world cup is a HUGE stretch. I truly believe that, on our day, we can beat any team in the world. And we have shown that. Beating Spain in the Confed Cup was huge. But going all the way in a world cup requires so, so much more than the ability to "win on your day." The? best teams MAKE every day their day. I believe one day we will produce a world cup winning team. And we'll do well in Brazil. But we're not there yet.

Well you sound like a hater. Allow me to school you. The US just destroyed a mid tier team that has a rich football history. Good teams destroy the teams that are technically inferior, beat decent teams soundly and find a way to beat great teams. The US isn't battle tested yet but best believe they will get there. If the back 4 is good then this US? may have the talent and fire power to win the world cup. The only place the US doesn't have depth is the back 4. Hopefully, we will have it by 2014.

I love Klinsman.. He has regconized the strengths & weaknesses of the senior team and is building around the strengths and fixing the weaknesses. The team is now keeping possession and is effective on the counter-attack. With a healthy Dempsey, Donovan, Altidore, and Hercues Gomez(who was on fire for Santos)the US shouldn't have a problem scoring.?

It's a mixture. Spanish & Geman. We were in a 4-3-3 f with DM's(who played like attacking mids) & a sweeper. I have yet to make a complete judgement on it but the mids did a excellent job for this game. I don't think they willl ever look like a Barcelona or Argentina because the US doesn't have a group of mids and forwards that attack and hold like Di Maria, Aguero, Tevez but the US has enough talent to get the job done. Plus, the US might be a better? defensive team but they need a lil more work

Yes you are a mexico fan, dont be ashamed! When the US knocked? mexico out of the world cup in 2002 and beat them 2 gold cups in row you still couldnt give them credit. Its funny mexico thinks they are a world power but their only big victories come over the US a team they say "sucks". When was the last time mexico made a world cup quarterfinal...30 years ago, US was there in 2002 (after knocking out mexico)
