Yeah it can't be cause 20 years later in 1982 the tax rates dropped by 39% for anyone making over 250G per year. As I said before I would rather invest (not spend) on social programs then throw my money out the window for companies that outsource their headquarters on paper o Switzerland while the entire company stays in the U.S. where they pay? Of course you conveniently yet again fail to factor in a number of factors, such as social program spending absolutely exploding from comparatively almost nothing in 1962, & costs of doing business spending on state, local & federal regulations and fees has also exploded post-1962. Add to that growing dependence on technology rather than agriculture & manufacturing? for a vibrant economy, & one sees the necessary balance between spending and revenue, not simply the folly of endless tax and spend.

Corporations like Bank of America paying ZERO taxes. Now that's class warfare my friend and it wasn't started by the poor. Take a look at the history of tax rates among the those top 400 threw out history and compare them to national debt increase. I bet Forbes doesn't? cover that debt increases with the lowering of the income taxes on the top 1% nor the fact that the most prosperous periods in US history (1950s and 1960s) have come during periods of super-high marginal income tax rates.
