Hmmm...but I wonder how big of data set I can throw at it until it breaks???...much of the data I work with is 1 million plus rows...hmmm...still: another huge step is transparency. Just a note: last year dug up a data anamoly in an db that revealed a financial impropiety, and guess what?: The CFO suddenly quit, and got a job in Guatemala :-) ...I love it when bad things happen to bad people.

I was able to do all you showed, but when I dragged the image onto the new image it left a slight line around the edge of the original rectangle for each imaged I dragged on? Not sure how to remove that. So it looks like the extracted image is there, but there is a fine line like a 4x6 outlining the dragged on image. hope I am explaining this? clearly.... please help.

Hi all....i'm a newbie in photo editing,and kinda have a problem with cutting out images....i'm trying to create a banner but the problem is the image i cropped using Polygonal Lasso Tool(PLT) appeared transparent when i tried to paste it on the new image.only the dashed outlines appeared but? not the whole image itself..what should i do?is there any setting that i have to change to overcome this?Nice video BTW!!!

I understand both points but madskillz is talking about the whole "lets just edit the mistakes play it back and "remix" it" part. DJing with ableton (at least the way professionals do it) is all done on the fly. This is just playing a prerecorded mix. Ableton Traktor and all those programs have made it easier but DJing this way is just lazy, its literally playing back and changing a bit of a preexisting mix. I think thats the point he? is trying to get across.

Have you used Ableton Live and a APC 40? The options are limitless, far from being lazy for? the creative mind. Can it be used to make things easier? Hell yeah but isn't that what Traktor & Serato have done also? Isn't that also what CDJ's have done? Just because it makes things convenient it doesn't mean a person is lazy, it just made more complicated things easier and leaves the door open to add more to a set because you bought yourself about 30 minutes to an hour extra!

I don't know man i am a traktor owner and user? and I love it, but this is REALLY cool and a feature that we have nothing even close to unless someone could enlighten me with something that does use traktor in this way. This is very impressive for mixtape djs, it really doesn't get any easier to record your mixtape with full control.

Please don't judge the teacher harshly on this, as the new features to the? Refine Masks dialog were only added to CS5. Adobe upgrades every 18 months which is an instructor's nightmare. I taught for 9 years at Nashville State Community College and updating our courses so frequently is a teacher's nightmare....the amount of time and work to get everything new into lesson plans is way more than the teacher gets paid for.

The round comes in with such force that shiny smooth won't aid in feeding. It's just looks better but has no practical effect. Spend time on polishing the sear and disconnector and? the back of the trigger bar and there will be an improvement and not a cosmetic change.

After 600 & 1500 grit light sanding then "Flitz" buffing with the rubber Dremmel buffing tip my ATI SS Tactical 1911 compact feed hollow points. Well worth? the time. Easy as pie. Just remember to buff and polish ever so slightly. Don't over do it.

Correction. ANY grit of sand? paper, polish or anything IS removing material! Grit vs. metal equals removing material. I've been working on 1911s for 37 years and there are many ways to do the ramp. 600 or 800 grit and dowel rods is a good way to start. No videos available since there weren't any video cams when all of these ideas were thought up. Just bugs me to hear someone saying that "no material is being removed" when talking about "removing material" to make something shine.

Have a look at Russell Preston Brown's website, in my opinion is the Photoshop expert of the world. I have been retouching since PS's first build, this man has taught me so? much and continues to do so. There are several tutorials which address the problems you describe. Selecting hair from a complex background is difficult but with CS5 the job is made slightly easier. Google Russell Preston Brown.

As chasco83 said, we need a tutorial on extracting someone/thing from a complex background. Not all of us have access to studios/models/perfect pre-planned shoots. So, this is a legitimate gripe. I understand the video is about the capabilities of the tool in? PS and this is done well in the video, but please someone do a detailed video on a more complex scenario. Thousands of youtubers will light candles for you!

Thank you so much Terry! I did a project where I had to cut out literally hundreds of different full figures of people and put them together in what you would call a "chorus line." The idea of using the pen tool and trying to work around the hair of some of them made me want to? stab myself in the eye. Your tutorial has saved me so much time and aggravation! I rarely even use the pen tool anymore, this works so well. Thanks again!!

Uhm, sir. You? forgot one very important thing: after refining the edge, you didn't invert the selection and delete the pixels that you've refined.. That's why at the end, nothing happened. Good thing I found it out. Very great tutorial

Good tutorial, thanks. Something that would of been helpful for me as i am new to ps would have been if you had removed the object from a multi colored background, instead of just a solid background. i figured it out though, just simply holding down shift will allow you to select multiple areas around the object, or the object its self and then don't select/inverse depending on which is? simpler in each picture.

And I'm pretty sure I got the chords off of ultimate guitar's website. Just search for Refine Me by Jennifer? Knapp! I think it's in the key of D, if that helps. I did the measurements according to the manual and the correction is definitely making a HUGE change. Yet, I have a small problem - even though the stereo image opens up a lot, the center becomes a bit too undefined and hard to identify. A centered? kick with ARC applied sounds like a Haas Trick kick with no ARC. Could this be a result of a faulty measurement mic? Anyway, thank you IKmultimedia for this great piece of software!

I need Amplitube Fender? and to upgrade A2 to A3 but the rest I have, since you insist on giving it away almost for free all the time hahaha!
