i think musicians should be able to sell their music to companies but with judgement. the mayo commercial, for example, would not have been a good move. soundtrack to a movie or background of a show is alright. things like that, you know. as long as? it's tasteful and their music isn't harmed by it. & honestly if they didn't change their sound, songs like Gold On the Ceiling would never have been made and that would be a tragedy for everyone.

LOLOL....I had no idea that Les was a producer for MUCH music. That's really awesome. I live in Upstate NY and? MUCH music started airing around here around 1999 or so -- they played great music compared to MTV / VH1. I bet when Les left is when they station started spiraling down.
