1080p is true HD, but it's only upscaled from about 720p. Most games these days are sub-720p and then upscaled to 1080p, there are some exclusives on the PS3 and X360 that have true HD, or are close to it but there are very few of them. Watching Blu-Ray films are definitely True HD, there is no upscaling involved, the PS3 will? read it directly off the disc and display it in the native 1080p.

The next generation isn't supposed to be out until the end of 2013, and there are a lot of good games you can buy right now seeming as this generation is coming to an end soon. It's better spending your money on a gaming PC that could play Battlefield 3 on ultra, but that? costs a lot more (obviously) and you don't get the comfort of just throwing yourself down after a hard day of work/school. So I'd say it is worth buying, but it's up to you if you wanna wait a year or so.

thanks a ton. your tutorial really helped. My ps3 was a bit different. the cable at 4:17 was 3 times as small, and it was incredible hard to put back cuz of its position and lenght. the screws was really hard to unscrew too. it took around two hours but it was worth it. paid 30? dollars for a laser instead of having to buy a whole new ps3.

Cara, o NFS MW é ótimo, porem igual ao Super Mario, era maravilhoso, ainda se joga ele, mas não adianta fazer 1000 versões novas, porque ele nunca vai ser igual ou melhor do que era? antes, não adianta xingar, falar que quer o NFS MW3 ou U3 porque isso é fracasso na certa pra EA Games, o NFS Carbon é uma prova disso! Mesmo motor gráfico do NFS MW, mesmo estilo, e sabe oque aconteceu? Não fez nem 20 % do sucesso que o NFS MW Fez.

Galera, a diversão do NFS acabou no MostWanted daí foram só jogos chatos, eu recomendo comprare Midnight Club Los Angeles, muito bom, da pra tunar os carros, graficos ótimos e? tudo mais.

nintendo didnt use this tech for the 3DS. the 3DS uses parraxial barriers? and it does NO head tracking WHATSOEVER, as a matter of fact, if you move your head anywhere other than the 'sweet spot' when using the 3DS you would lose the 3D effect.

you can forget about the motion controls ... unless they can actually implement it right... i've played on the wii and there's no single game that gives the right feeling. Stereoscopic 3D is also not that great ... polarized 3D is much better, but stereoscopic? can be good enough in some cases. But what would really be great would be mainstream availability and application for a head mounted display. :)

That would be a problem. This technique only works for one person at a time. That other person will see the screen move, but will not see a 3D effect. But I think this will work great with the new DSi. It already has a camera so? it should be able to do head tracking. :D
