There is a lot of great character development and backstory that makes it deeper than it appears. Oh Great uses a lot of wanton sex and violence in the manga which is explicit but realistic and even a bit meaningful at times, which is also what contributes to making it a seinen. One of the main themes of TT is the morality and purpose behind fighting, which is a bit rare amongst other typical action-oriented series, it's? interesting to see the interplay of such vastly different chars and morals.

The reason people hate the anime so much is because of how the backstory of Maya and Mitsuomi takes up 70% of the episodes and how the ending was so inconclusive and empty that it all seemed pointless. But, given that it was an adaptation of an ongoing manga at the time, these things were almost? bound to happen. The manga on the other hand has about 3 additional arcs which are really long, and the manga has a fairly solid conclusion. Although TT seems like a cliche shonen...

After watching Bokurano, I can't help but to compare these two, though I know I shouldn't (and I don't mean to decide which is better, since I'm not a person to decide upon subjective matters). Eva also popularized the introduction of religoius symbols in animes. Many animes did what Eva didn't and actually had depth to the symbols and depth to the plots. It's the citizen kane of animes really. Like it or not, aspects of it were later adapted to other animes that arguably did what Evangelion tried to do but better. That's why even if I hated a certain popular show or movie, I can put aside? my bias and see how it changed the way things in that medium or done.

Well like I said in the beginning, it's already a? classic anime so there's not much you can do.You said you saw things from my point of view.If you do,then you would understand why it became so popular. it's not about happy endings it's about him not progressing as a character and did it when it was too late, sure ppl can come back but that's a big if. To me the characters were beyond redemeable and each new? episode just served to strenghten that strong dislike of them if the movies did better with them in that aspect great but as animes goes this shows gets way more praises that it deserves

(I've really been typing for a long time haven't) But, now that I'm older I realize that the show probably wasn't bad as we made it seem. I guess that the power of a? child's imagination or PARANOIA. But, for some reason I still have finished the series, that a whole episode now that I think of it, because I can't find it anywhere. (sorry post was too long) Now, since we were little? kids (he was little, I was just a scaredy-cat) it didn't take much to scare us. So, the idea of a guy on skates coming around and knocking people out a bat at any moments notice was terrifying. Plus, it was late, dark, and we were sleepy; also they had this weird blurriness that I still faintly remember that act like the creepy music in horror movies to let you know something bad was going to happen.

Oh trust me whoever made this show did a good job. My little brother and I show parts of this series when we were younger; he was 9 and I was 12.? It came on adult swim (before it got stupid) around 12 or 1'o clock, so it was dark, and the whole concept made us paranoid. If we could make it through the theme song, which was rare, we would try, but never accomplish, to watch the full episode without being scared.

I agree that Rahxephon is not a rip off of Eva. To me there was only one? scene that Rahxephon stole from eva and thar was the scene where the Commander tells Ayato to kill the Dolem with the woman inside, since killing the Dolem was more important (ex Gendo telling Shinji to destroy Eva 3 with a pilot in it). Overall I did like Rahxephon, yet I found the ending annoying with all that frickin high pitch singing!

the problem with evangelion is not that its bad or has plot holes its just that everything to it has some sort of second meaning or representation making? some scenes confusing or disturbing(look at the anime as someone going through pupity but x10)also if the guy handling the money wasn't tax evading then they would have had a lot more money to be able to fully realize the anime, hence why there is little action and alot of still scenes in the second half

I don't get why people compare naruto and basilisk . The only thing they have in common are thier ninja other than that they have nothing alike . Yes the first part of naruto was pretty kiddy , but shippuden has lots of angst and feelings in it , and basilisk is more realistic amine from the samurai age based of Romeo and Juliet . Playasia is a good one... Though importing the games will do little good as both the PS2 and 3DS are region locked (thus a US 3DS or PS2 will not play games from any other region). There is a workaround for the? PS2, but that is risky as it requires you to do a hardmod (modding the actual hardware) and a modchip. As for the 3DS, there is no hacks or mods to get around the region lock as of yet.

So don't get over exited and then hear its not coming to the U.S. Namco? is very picky with their games coming over to the U.S. And they won't be changing their mind so easily. Just like Sega with Project Mirai, people got over excited, and heard its just coming to japan only. Besides all 3 companies are all Japanese. What makes you think they will sell this in the U.S.

I would like to know if this really rises sell of some products or if it indeed only pisses off everone. ads everywhere noone wants to watch them, there are unskipable commercials before vid, popping advs in the vid, banners around window.. and the best thing is that you often need to watch adv to watch adv.
