@joeyallen08 and I was also told at same dealership that the trannies are 18k USD to replace which is outrageous you could put a tranny in 15 vehicles for that lol. Don't know if it's worth it. When I test drove it they wouldn't allow launch control so I don't know that much from exp. but it was quick without it. Just think you will use one to try yourself the next to show a friend and one to show off. Then it's no longer? a sub 3 sec car it's normal acc from there on that still sucks

@joeyallen08. Yea I still think its under engineered for the price. The tranny doesnt hold up and they still restrict the launch control? on a car you pay that much for. Every car it competes with that has launch control can be used at owners discretion. I just think they should of by now solved that issue. So either they need more time or they over did themselves and still looking for solution don't know. Even three tunes ain't enough in a car you own.

Using launch control in the Nissan GTR 2012 model no longer voids the warranty, you can use the launch control successfully 3 times until it locks you out of the system, it has to be driven for a few miles before you can use launch control again.?

if I had the money I would go for a Jaguar XF R. less than half a second slower than a m5 on a quarter mile, on the top gear track half a? second slower on the track. It is at least $20 000 cheaper than the M5, and I love Jaguars. The GTR is for japanese teenagers who like fast and furious.

The BMW is not really a twin turbo. There's a scroll in the intake with two small turbine fans that rely more on intake? pressure than exhaust. So when the mods come out and it actually gets a turbo iir will beat most that it don't now. Why BMW didn't use real turbos like every other mfr. that's what BMW does they reinvent the wheel. Great car the Nissan though. Just cheap and you void warranty for using launch control which is cheesy.

It's been raining in England for the past 6 weeks, so this is a damp test. The GT-R Track Pack seems a bit half-hearted and, on-paper, the 997 Turbo S is the closest rival. I went to an evening track event at Brands hatch to discover the differences/ work out if the Track pack is worth the extra cash.

There is no new Turbo S out there. The 991 Turbo will be released later in this year or so, and after a couple of years later, they will facelift it and probably add the "S" in to it, as they did with the previously 997 & 996.? ... The new Turbo will for sure be really good.

Because they were probably under priced? when they originally launched. They now have a very firm foot hold in the market, and the car is respected like crazy everywhere. So they realised the new model can be sold for more, and it is definitely a better car. It hasnt added 20K of value in terms of parts, but the car now fits better into the price range

You are aware that he favors the standard GTR over the standard 911 right? He does like his Porsches (which I hate) but I don't think he is too biased by that fact. He is right in this video I think. The price of the GTR Track Pack isn't? motivated by it's upgrades. Neither is buying any porche if you want comparable performance on a track (or comparable boot space). If you are looking for quality, go for Porsche.

That's basically a track day prepped car (some parts swapped out, and slick tires are standard), otherwise it's still a car that ordinary consumers can buy, not? a purpose built all out race car like the GT1 or GT500. You can see hints of it on the dashboard - the standard speedo/fuel/temperature dials, the Multifunction Display, and the paddle shifters (the GT1 and GT500 have completely different dashboards plus the floor mounted lever shifter for the sequential tranny).

I didn´t say that. And I know that the GTR has also a history and i also like the R33 very much but I don´t think you can compare it with Porsche. Porsche has a lot of racing experience and they pruduce the 911 for over 50 years so they improved? it in every detail but they kept his form... Everybody has got his own view, and that is mine ;)

So you are asserting that the GTR has no History, no quality, no feeling?. What is so special about the Porsche that i have to pay twice the money of a GTR. You need to look at the history of the GTR and Nissan as a whole.?

The Veyron is made for top speed and acceleration, the GT-R for handling and lap times. The Veyron is a 2seater supercar, the GT-R is a 4seater sportscoupe. The Veyron has a 8l quadturbo W16 engine, the GT-R has a 3,8l biturbo V6 engine.The Veyron costs 2m and the GT-R 100k. They never were direct competitors to begin with. A? stock GT-R is faster on the track, you dont need this car for that. There are 800hp GT-Rs faster than the Veyron in a dragrace, so is this and ALPHA. Who cares about drags?
