you lose between 20%-30% to the wheels due to driveline loses (a little more is lost if it's an automatic). 447 hp to the wheels equals 536 at the crank with a 20% driveline loss or 581 hp with a 30% driveline loss. most likely its the 536hp or so? rating, cause the GT500's are under-rated a bit.

Yes without a clutch it's a clutchless manual on the automatics. it's exactly what the mazda 6's has you? put the tranny shifter into M mode and it has M+ and M- for upshifts and down shifts and it displays what grear you are in electronicly on the dashboard and if you want to put it back to automatci you can just change it over to D on the fly.

The shelby gt500 doesn't use the mt-82 transmission it uses the Tremec TR6060 guess where that's made. There you have it, no part of the shelby (that's what I meant by? this car, sorry I thought this was a 2013 gt500 only video) is made in china. I will agree though ford does need to stop building the mt-82s in china cause it will be more prone to issues, however it is still a really good tranny. It handles a lot of power and the problems it originally had were fixed by ford.

The Nurburgring is likely the only track, save from a highspeed ovals, and chances are even on the Ring The 2013 GT500 wont even see 180. Ford folks forget, all the ZL1s performance can be had at the base $54.995 price. To get all the coolers, track pack ready goodies and Gov limiter removed for GT500 (all options not standard) $66,715. My uncle, Ford guy, Just priced one out.

ZL1 has 82hp less and weighs nearly 400lbs more. Any person who plays knows 100lbs is good for bout .1 in 1/4. therefore by keeping the 82hp less and simply matchin weight the ZL1 would run 11.5. Ford Fail. On a road course the Shelby will fall behind and who cares bout 200mph!?

Anyone who says "no way the SS is stock" clearly hasnt ever driven either of these cars. The rwhp/weight ratios of these cars are almost identical.? My bone stock 2000 T56 SS Put Down 320hp and weighed 3300lbs. on average the 5.0 dynos 355rwhp and the car weighs 3600lbs and the LS1 has a far superior TQ curve. in this race the 5.0 has an easy 300lbs more human slowin it down. The Camaro should have been and was faster.

Both badass cars. I own a 2012 camaro ss but man those mustangs gt are a lot of fun, too. I've taken out a Mustang gt on the freeway on my SS. But then again, i just lost a race recently to another mustang gt on a drag race. All up to the driver lol. Drag race, i think mustang gt takes the win. I just think the camaro ss has more personality, love the design.. But idk, the more? i see the mustang gt, the more i want one. If u buy either one, u will own the road.

Ford uses a smaller V8 with a higher combustion rate and just as much stock HP with the potential to far surpass Chevy's 6.2ltre and? Chrysler's 6.2ltre SRT8. The Challenger is the top of the line car of in the Challenger family unless you get the Hennessee Challanger. Mustang GT and Camaro SS have big brothers. The Camaro has the ZL1 and the Mustang has the Saleen, GT500, GT500 Super Snake, Boss, Roush and Bullit. It's not even comparing apples to apples and the Mustang still holds the #1 spot.

The real test will be the comparison between the 2013 GT 500 and the Camaro ZL1. I think the mustang might win straight line but may suffer from a solid rear axle on a track. Guess we will see. Not sure why ford doesn't go to independent? rear axle. seems like a solid decision.

ford = development, making new stuff gm and chrysler = using stuff from the parts bin thats why ford is winning at the moment. the camaro SS has the chassis from a australian holden monaro, and the drivetrain from a corvette. the challenger is basically a 1995 merc e-class underneath. engine from a 300c. ford went out of their way to make a? 5.0 JUST for the mustang, the chassis was made JUST for the mustang. mustang is a bespoke car, the other 2 are just old junks with a new fancy dress.

Boss 302 is in a higher class than the SRT8, but in an ideal race the Boss 302 would win. BUT, only by? .1 seconds. Boss 302 stats: 0-60 in 4.2, quarter mile in 12.6 Challenger SRT8 stats: 0-60 in 4.6, quarter mile in 12.7. It may be big and heavy and slower off the line, but that 6.4L V8 with 470lb-ft of torque sure as hell helps! :P I'm a Mustang guy myself, but I gotta admit, the new SRT8 is the new big kid on the block! :P
