Its not big enough and and it cant be used as a touch input monitor for my PC properly. Maybe i should have been more clear on my 1st post because this is not the first time somebody suggested a iPad or other tablet. What i didnt guess that my comment would make it as the most top rated comment for 9? months so i would still get replys to it... Okay, at the time Microsoft had made several different release dates for the surface starting from november 2007, then spring 2008...etc until april 2011 it finally actually released after i made that post. There was practically no progress before that. It was already usable back in 2007 but somehow they? havent made to global market even till today(Only available at AT&T which is only USA). So you think US is the only country in the world that utilizes the use of cell phones. Like i said MOST of the cell phones dont have multi touch screen. Definition of most is over 50% so i believe i am correct when i say that. And i have known about Microsoft surface since few years ago. But it was only released this April. An iPhone or Android cell phone is by definition a multitouch screen. Over 50% of cell phones sold and operated in the US at this time are smartphones, over 80% of those are iPhones and Androids. Ergo most cell phones are multitouch. Also they have in fact done something with this, at least microsoft has. What, is you cellphone that big? You must have trouble carrying it around. What? I was talking about were those big ass multi touch monitors you could use in more complex tasks than what you can do with small cell phone or tablet screens. Image and video editing for a nice example. Btw, dont just assume every cellphone has a multi touch screen, most of them dont have one.

I saw this video 4 years ago and thought wow that is neat. Now I have a no tower large touch screen desk top computer. I think it came pretty fast to the market like now it is in the iphone. The touch screen is great to use along side my keyboard? and mouse. Using just the touch screen alone is not pratical, but I can use it to easily scrol down a page like this one and not use the mouse. To type the keyboard is better than using the on screen touch keyboard.

No, they are plain old Javascript APIs defined by the W3C and can be used in plain old HTML 4.01, XHTML or even without HTML? -- I personally use the IndexedDB and the Canvas API server-side with Node.js without HTML or a DOM. HTML is agnostic to what scripting or stylesheet language you use, you're supposed to send the Content-Script-Type header if you don't specify a type= attribute or use any on* attributes, though most browsers (incorrectly) assume text/javascript.

Here's my proof-of-concept HD video of using a hacked Kinect camera for multitouch-like interaction. Written using libfreenect by marcan42 and libTISCH ( tisch.sf.net ) by myself. I thought I'd get the mandatory picture-browsing stuff done so it's out of the way and everybody can focus on more interesting things :-) Built on Ubuntu Linux using libfreenect and libTISCH.

Actually Microsoft didn't invent or research? this, they expanded upon technology purchased from PrimeSense (an israeli military technology firm). PrimeSense is in fact, as we speak developing their own "Kinect" for PC use, in collaboration with Asus (i believe). But sure, it probably cost them a pretty penny (considering the kinect was meant for military application to start with - but hey, so was the internet... right?)

no esta mal la idea, pero se puede optimizar, sobretodo en función del espacio. quizá si el projector estuviese a 45º y proyectase tanto la pantalla superior como la inferior con una distorsión gráfica, solo apreciable en una pantalla de pc, el? efecto seria mejor por menos espacio. creo que no me supe explicar adecuadamente, pero estoy seguro que ustedes entenderán.

so lets, see, big screen and hd= $1500, add in computer hardware, +$1000, add multitouch +$300, add sensing devvice things (it shows you dont have to touch the screen and you hands can just be above it) +$1000 (includes software).....operating system for all this +800..... so it comes to around: $4600...meh, seems resonable... just wait for when they add in other cameras and stuff, just so they can sell another version... all? the people ot buy te first one will be like : "aww fuck it"
