I like it, but I picked up an 08 WRX for $21,000 out the door. I imagine that one out the door would be somewhere around $42,000. I'm fairly certain I could spend a lot less than $21000 to upgrade my car and blow the doors off of that one. Hell, changing to the 09 turbo gets me most of the way there and that's? only $1,000.

I don't normally agree? with Motor Trench. I think they mooch cars from MFG's and then return the favor by writing glowing reports about the cars. Which I think is pretty cheesy. But I do like the WRX STI and I think it's a great car. But it's now $36,000. (Remember money is no object for Motor Trench because they don't pay for the cars they test. lol ) They left out the MazdaSpeed3 which is only $27,000 and has the same space and equally entertaining to drive.

Hydrocarbons refer to GAS. Coal burned is pure carbon. Get your facts straight first. CO2 is emitted from the tailpipes and power plants. The reason why Tesla is better is because the energy is more efficiently? converted to work. The comparison of joules used towards moving the car is a no contest. Gasoline has a much higher joule content but it doesn't have the efficiency that the electric motor provides.

The batteries are produced? in China in factories with little to no emission regulations. Plus those batteries only last 80-100k miles and you'd really have to try hard to get the full range out of those cars.

It should have been Ferrari Enzo, Ferrari 458 Italia (my favorite) :), Lambo Murceilago( I would say Aventador but it wasen't out yet? at time of video.) Lambo Gallardo Superleggera, Nissan GTR, Porsche 911 Turbo S, Corvette ZR1, Audi R8 GT, Mclaren MP4-12C, Lexus LFA, Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren. Can you buy the Mustang GT 5.0 though? I'm pretty sure you'd be able to order a regular Mustang GT or Boss if they don't have what you want on the lot over there. I'm assuming you guys have a few Ford dealerships? I've seen these 5.0 liter Mustangs on the autobahn in? YouTube videos, they're very quick, they'll do over 170 mph (270 kph) with just a cold air intake and tune (the tune gets rid of the 155 mph speed limiter). Tires come stock rated at 168 mph.

I would argue that the current Impreza actually triumphs it's Japanese competitors at the moment. I've driven the newest? Civic, last years? Corolla, and current model Impreza, and found that build quality of the other two has been sliding as Subbies seem to be pushing ahead. Same would be the case with current gen Accord, Camry, and Legacy. If you haven't already, go test drive the 2.5GT. It's absolutely brilliant. Oh, and I've only ever owned Honda and Toyotas...

You can't debate Car of The Year? with three grandpas who work/worked for,collect retirement from, or probably have a great deal invested in some? of the car companies whose products you're testing. This is one of the most biased test I've ever seen, and exactly the reason internet blogs are eating away at MotorTrend's (and other once popular car magazine's) bottom line. Actually, I think you're wrong twice in that last comment. The Corolla is actually extremely uncomfortable. I know it's not a direct competitor, but the Sonic is one of the most comfortable vehicles I have recently sat in, the Corolla is anything but. I think the best in that class right now might be the Forte, and the new Dart is great too. And no, the? Tundra is no longer better than the American trucks. See, I think the Corolla is perfect for it's market, it's reliable, comfortable? A - B. Nothing more, nothing less. And the Big Three still suffer from quality issues in their trucks and still trail the Tundra, but in many ways they are better than the Tundra as well. Add that to their decades of reputation their sales will be unmatched for a long time. The only truck that seems to be slipping is the Ram.

The Challenger is the top of the line car of in the Challenger family unless you get the Hennessee Challanger. Mustang GT and Camaro SS have big brothers. The Camaro has the ZL1 and the Mustang has the Saleen, GT500, GT500 Super Snake, Boss, Roush and Bullit. It's not even comparing apples to apples and the Mustang still holds the #1 spot.

Boss 302 is in a higher class than the SRT8, but in an ideal race the Boss 302 would win. BUT, only by .1 seconds. Boss 302 stats: 0-60 in 4.2, quarter mile in 12.6 Challenger SRT8 stats: 0-60 in 4.6, quarter mile in 12.7. It may be big and? heavy and slower off the line, but that 6.4L V8 with 470lb-ft of torque sure as hell helps! :P I'm a Mustang guy myself, but I gotta admit, the new SRT8 is the new big kid on the block! :P

I am the proud owner of a 2012 wrangler sport S. Any bad things you've heard just are not true. The horsepower from the engine is amazing. The 2 door still has plenty of cargo space, only second to the wrangler unlimited. Chrystler group was bought by Fiat and they have made the new wrangler a luxury vehicle that is more off road? capable than ever. The grand cherokee power train and all aluminum Pentastar engine was introduced, which yields an enormous boost in performance on and off road.

I've personaly only owned one Jeep, an 89 Jeep Cherokee 4-door, 4.0L auto. I loved that thing, but I hit a deer with it late at night at about 55mph and it never ran the same even after I repaired the damage and replaced the broken parts. Traded it in for a 95 Dodge Dakota, 5.2L V8? auto ext cab 4x4.

the best Jeep any of my family members ever had was my dad's 79 CJ-7? Golden Eagle, 304 AMC V8 and a 4-speed. My dad went through several engines and transmisions from water logging them while off-roading. Lots of fun memories as a kid in that old Jeep. Once while offroading my dad hit a nard bump and my hit the rollbar. I actualy dented the rollbar. Hurt like hell. Sadly he got tired of replacing drivelines and the body was falling apart, so he sold it and bought a 79 F-250 SuperCab longbed.

The reason GTR didn't go hybrid is that it's front-engine mounted, so it's more complicated to put on two electric motors in the front.It's much easier since the NSX is a MR. Also, when the Super GT teams got turbos onto their NSX back in 2003, their score was not competitive. When they? replaced the C30A Turbo with a 3.5 liter, this car showed it's potential. Maybe Honda is still having some trouble with the turbos.

If the AWD system is more advanced than the GT-R, I'm sure even with a turbo it will have enough control in the corners. Like you said we've seen how well the GT-R has done. Back in the 90s the NSX was made to compete with the GT-Rs, so shouldn't they be taking a leaf out of Nissans book. Nissan doesn't have any plans for a hybrid GT-R, why do you think? The electric motors and the battery might just weigh the? same as a 4WD drivetrain, but it uses energy recycled from braking rather than using engine power, which means 100% engine power goes to the rear wheel. We all have seen how amazing a 4WD could perform(Look at Nissan GTR), but Honda's design is more advanced. I don't think Honda will go turbo, since a well-tuned NA engine is much lighter while giving the driver better control in the corners.

I'm still not convinced about the electric engines. They just add weight. You can add 2 turbos to the V6 and that will give it more than enough torque and response. Also the turbos and pipework that comes with? it will be lighter than electric engines and they sound nicer too. Honda previously did say they were going to introduce turbos to their VTEC engines, I'm not sure if Honda is still going to go with force induction.

Don't you realize how great this combination is? Electric motors have much more torque than Petrol engine, responses quicker while the engine could give all it's power to the rear wheel. About the V10, yeah I miss it too, let's just hope Honda could make a great engine. Maybe? turbo is a great option(Honda made great F1 turbo engines for McLaren ).
