Kinda agree with this lineup. Didn't expect Wildstar to? be up there but hey, has a cute trailer. Never heard of Archage so I guess I'll look into that, but Gw2 is a pretty massive name and the gameplay is very skill based, which is the right step for believable and interactive combat. Next step is to take a page from mech games and apply animations+crippling status effects for being hurt in specific portions of the body with specific damage types, and apply armor value to parts of body.

I plan on playing both Guild Wars 2 and TSW. GW2 for the fantasy element and multiple races (playing humans all the time gets slightly boring) and rich fantasy-scapes. TSW when I want to immerse myself in? the role of a warrior against the darkness in my own, present day world. Promotion-wise, I'll agree GW2 is doing a fabulous job. But honestly, a plush Charr doll? I can always hope if Funcom ever sold real merchandise, it'd be a Dragon leather jacket. Not a plush doll like GW2. Lol

They made "Conan" a sucky mmo and then put it the title "Conan", the same happen to the Final? Fantasy MMO. The Secret World requieres Monthly Fee, is hard to check that, they just give you a beta key, they reach 1million subs for the beta in 9 months, thats horrible. Guild Wars 2 looks old but way better than this and it doenst need monthly fee. Diablo 3 has being in dev for 6 years and it looks better. Battlefield 3, Mass Effect 3. They all improve there games and experience. Take note.

Well i just played this game, omfg it's bad... Terribly slow, it's about 80% story and cinematics and like 20% gameplay. Your sprint is like very slightly? faster then your regular run so it's almost pointless it just makes you put your weap away. They are making this a pay 2 play game WITH A CASH SHOP... The cash shop is just extra accessories and customizations. The animations are all TERRIBLE. I take back my last comment and unless there are going to be major changes this game is done...

Also GW2 is getting a lot of hype due to great marketing, how many games can you name that sold out of their digital copies when there isn't even an official release or beta dates? I think this game has potential I can't really say much until i actually test it, can't really judge a game until you play it...

Well basically GW2 is trying to approach the mmorpg genre from way different angle.. you cant really compare GW2 endgame to, say, Wow endgame. GW2 is all about adventuring and finding yourself in a new situations and events where ever you go. If this is done well, is challenging? and fun, why would you need these designed raid dungeons? Also there's supposed to be like over 30 different "activities" in the game aka. mini games. Wow "pokemon" might be interesting as might those GW2 activities...

I don't know how much Variety will Guild Wars 2 have. I mean wow is bringing in mini-pet combat system and challenge mode dungeons, aside from the classic PvP, PvE, daily quests,? etc. GW2 doesn't seem to encourage variety. IMO dungeons, events and PvP are not enoth to keep you playing a game at end-level

Great points, I'd also? like to add content on that list, somewhat like variety, but just having a sheer vastness of playable area's and quests so that one character or even 5 doesn't see the entire world is so important. Sometimes expansions just don't come out quick enough and people just see everything and get bored of the game in a month or 2. Re-play value probably keeps the most people around for years rather then weeks.

We weren't able to pre-purchase it online at the time, but we were able to pre-purchase it at any retailer who will be selling it upon release. You just have to pay the? $5 pre-order fee and the $60 for the game. I did it at GameStop, but I would've waited if I knew they were going to be allowing people into the beta events if they pre-purchased it online.

Ultima didnt have anything warhammer and Meridian 59 was made almost 10 years after warhammer. From what i know Blizzard was the first ones that remade the Warhammer Orks into their Orcs. Lord of the Ring did also make Orcs but? they wasn't green.

It's a nice idea, but good god as a gamer, that looks awful. Just some poorly rendered planets and? not a whole lot of an idea about gameplay. You can have a poor looking game and get a lot of mileage out of it if the gameplay is fun, like DC Universe Online, not a patch on WoW graphics wise, but a hell of a lot of fun to play. I hope they release a trailer showing people what the actual game will be like.

I'm sad that I can see? sense it what you are saying. But a lot of these community developed games are free-to-play take Star Wars Galaxies for example. After they stopped support for SWG the community took the code and built the game from scratch. A snort of diffidence to the man..just like Mal would have done :P Also they might be using the engine from SWG EMU which would but good but that is not for sure. It's still target based, you can swing your weapon, yes. However that's just because the game chooses the closest enemy to target for you. The game is great I? admit, however I just think it would attract a bigger audience if they actually did something new for a change. It's no secret Age of Conan suffers from lack of originality. It does little to stand out of the crowd. Take a look at Minecraft, bad graphics but it's fairly unique idea. Therefore it was such a success.

Haha, you made my day, ignorant dumb fuck. Age of Conan HAD great combat, in 2008 that is. I'm not say it's "bad" but not that great anymore. However, time changes and a lot of game content gets out-dated. There are games (free to plays) with better (More exciting) combat such as Tera, Vindictus, Dragon Nest and so on.
