Reminds me of a kid I knew who ran from his house in Burnaby to downtown Vancouver (9km away) for the Vancouver marathon (42km), came in second place in his age category and then ran home. I feel bad for the guy that came in first ahead of him. Can you imagine? Yeah congratulations, you won. I ran here so I have to go now so I? can run home before it gets dark. :-)

I love the people chirping the low budget of the commercial. This commercial captures the? emotion and joy of the morning run perfectly. They didn't need a higher budget. What did you want? a car chase complete with helicopter shots and explosions? Its a running commercial. By a really good running brand. Period.

Wow. I just watched? this advert. I love ads and they're general impact to us as humans - generally they are for 'inspiration', or to buy/ endorse the product. This ad does that. What i find different from other (sport ads) to this is that the FULL duration of the song is allowed to play and that gives it the imputes it seeks. I feel also what is interesting is the guy featured is as natural and laid back as can be; IE: the construction worker waves at him...(well done Mizuno)

Give me low budget running commericals and vids ANYDAY of? the week. Running is visceral and high tech crap and fancy commercials is not what its about. This commercial conveys the sense or running and the different places you can explore while running more so than any high budget commercial I've seen to date.

I've found the Rider14 way less durable than the previous Riders. I saw? lateral wear after my first run on two pairs of shoes, and the first of those I could only get 250 miles out of them. The second only have 40 miles (purchased together to stock up), and I can foresee a limited life for them as well. For me there's no fit/ride problems, but the durability got me less than half the mileage I've come to expect from WRs

I started running in the Wave Rider 11, then 12's, then 13's which were all awesome shoes. I got to test run in the Wave Rider 14's, when the Mizuno running lab came to our town. Myself and another person who owned 13's did not care for the 14's. I skipped buying the? 14's after running in them. I did buy a pair of Wave Prophecys, which felt and rode like a dream, but the so called "dog ear" to lock the heel in caused too much pressure on the back of the heal, it hurt after 10 miles.

I notice that if you walk barefoot, your toes and metatarsal area hit the ground flat. Then as? you lift off, it bends. When you pre-bend your toes up, you're basically increasing pressure on that joint because you're not allowing the force to spread out. Do this while you're running... and eventually you're going to injure yourself. Please please please change this in the 15s!!!

The problem with my feet and the wave rider 14s is the metatarsal area. Compared to the 13 and even the 12, the 14's (and visually it looks like the 15s have this issue as well) have a toe box that curves up higher. When I put on the 14s, I instantly noticed that my toes felt that they were being pushed up. When I started running, I developed pain in my metatarsal / phalanges joint due to the steeply raised toe box. Shame that the 15s look the same way.?

I hate the 14's. i used to run in riders all? the time. Now my family and myself have al turned away from them. I could barely walk after 3 weeks of running in them because of the heel lift. i had to take a week off of training because even when I didn't wear the shoes my ankles killed. I wish that they would go back. The closest shoe i could find similar to them was the Brooks Defiance 4's, but they are heavier. :( so sad, Im upset with mizuno right now.

I completely agree. I am so upset thery changed it to this degree, I actually changed brands which was like leaving ,my wife! Trying Brooks Ghost now, which doesn't feel as good as Riders 12 & 13, but way better than 14's. I hear the Mizuno? Prophecy is supposed to be something

Dreadful changes to a a formerly great shoe. Clunky, ill-fitting, and stiff compared to the previous Wave Riders. The rigid high heel collar irritates the ankles and the tight toe box is constricting, while the additional bulk added to the midsole gives a hard ride that doesn't feel more cushioned for the added weight. Very strange that Mizuno? has decided to make their shoes bulkier when most companies are going in a lighter minimal direction. The design team seems out of touch.

i hate that the wave riders have been modified in the heel. i have gone through about 8 pairs of wave riders from the WR 10-13. the change for the 14 was so disrupting to my? stride that i dont think i'll buy another pair of WRs. what's really sad about it is that WR are/were the only shoes i wear when i'm not running in Vibram Five Fingers. i found this video because i was looking for older WRs to buy. i will not buy anymore 14+ WRs unless there is some change in the stiff heel cupping.

There's no way for me to run in the 14. The tight toe box AND the high heel collar are the big problems. So a change for the better in the 15 would be to move it toward the 13 or, even better, the 12 (the perfect shoe for me). If you want the Rider to be more different from? the Precision (nice explanation!), change the Precision. Many lightweight runners complained about the Precision 11, so why messing up the Rider just to distinguish it from a messed-up Precision?!

So disappointed with the Wave Rider 14's, they ruined the fit with the raising of the heel collar and even that small raise now means it rubs my ankle and I simply cant run in them and I had to return the shoes. The toebox is also not good and makes the shoe feel too tight & going up half a? size I then have a shoe that it too long. I hope Mizuno fix the issues for WR15's as I have been loyally running in various WR's for years but the 14's have now forced me to switch over to New Balance 759's

I used to run in Mizuno all the time but now that they raised the wall of the shoe it hits the inside of both ankle bones on my feet. Very uncomfortable and I really don't understand why they had to raise it at? all. It was quite comfortable before. And for them to make the toebox smaller is inexcusable. Thanks Mizuno, we had some good times but I'm going back to New Balance.

I've been a Wave Rider wearer for years but the changes in the 14 have caused me to look elsewhere. I bought the WR 14 and after 8 miles I donated them to the local HS track team. I'll look on line for of the WR13 :-). The toe box is much too small in the 14 and the heal collar too high. I alway us aftermarket insole with zero problem. Your video mentions making changes due to feed back from runners but you are? moving away from a fit that already is spot on. I hope the 15 is back on target.

Great to see Rod Foley! I worked at Running Unlimited in Palatine, IL back when he was our rep. Looks like he is doing some exciting work! Anyways, wanted to ask: is Mizuno in line to develop a minimalist style shoe? I have been running exclusively in racing flats the past two years and recently got myself a pair of Wave Musha 2's and like them a lot. Of course I could stay in racing flats, but would enjoy? seeing Mizuno release something similar to what NB and Saucony plan to release.

S300 parallel and S300 taper have different step patterns and tip points e.g. S300 parallel is tipped alot closer to the hosel and in my opinion plays alot tip stiffer than taper. I hit S300 parallel and cannot hit taper? as straight ( MP 11 ). However I cannot hit X100 taper as well ( too low, MP 37 ) as the butt diameter is wider and alot stiffer. Glad you now have a machine that has taken me a decade and a lot of money to figure out! Thanks Mizuno!

I believe thistechnology works. Last year I got DNA? fitted for JPX 800 irons. The shaft recommended was the Dynalite Gold XP R300 and since I got these irons my scoring is so much better. Distance with these irons is amazing. Hitting the pitching wedge around 145 to 150 yds in summer and the 4 iron over 210 yds with just a good full turn and solid swing. Certainly has helped my game a lot and so would recommend a fitting from Mizuno.

you have to close the face alittle more because it is opened about 2 degrees more than other clubs to help in workability. Also are you playing a stiff shaft. if so move to a Regular flex. Mizuno beefed up the Fubuki at the tip and i think the Regular plays like most stiffs and the? stiffs are playing like X stiff. That is a bad dog to try and tame. just and idea

I picked up this driver on Friday and played one round so far. It does hit longer than my 909 d2. You pay for miss hits. but that it why I bought it. I want to learn to swing properly and it will teach you. That it is? why i got my MP 60 a year ago as well. they teach you when you swing bad. i have at least 7 strokes on averge off my game I'm hoping the driver will help learn to shave 3 more off. Only one problem with the information presented here: it's wrong. According to the Mizuno website, the NON-FASTRACK model is the "player's"? model, it's got a slightly OPEN face (not closed.) The Fast-Track adjustable model is for the everyday player.

I just hit the non fast track version and mizuno might say it is neutral but the driver definitely? feels heavier towards the heel of the club, something I don't like particularly, still waiting on the rep to get a fast track version to the shop here in WI. The feel of the driver is really nice, and the distance is great, the ball really jumps off the face, the only thing I didn't like was the way the STD. version is weighted.

Also, the Miz USA website describes the NON fast-track version as the "ultimate Tour Ready" driver. Sure the GT-R is an incredible performance machine. But I don't really like the looks. Sure Optimus Prime's head looked nice I'm glad we can agree on that but it doesn't work if you're designing a car. Or maybe I'm just too conservative regarding car design (in my mind a sportscar should have sweeping lines, smooth curves and a certain simplicity in their looks. I'm not entirely sure,? but I think it refers to the ratio of air to fuel when combusting the fuel. I'm guessing leaner means it's using less fuel in comparison to air to develop the same amount of power, it gives higher fuel economy since you are again using less fuel to generate the power.

Mark- As a? 9 Handicap and at best a weekend golfer I'm looking of switching from my MP-62's to either the 53's or the Nike Pro Combo's. I'm looking for help in slightly off center hits and a little extra height on my 5-7 iron. I also play a fade and I'm concerned about the offset on the 53's. Can you still move the 53's left to right or does the offset tend to straighten the ball out? Love your vids! Keep em coming.

Pros: - Buttery soft on dead centre hits. Off centre strikes provide feedback without jarring. Very accurate with distance to provide excellent control. The irons pack a heap? of technology. Have a players club look consisting of thin topline (and overall appearance) with little offset, And to my eyes - they look aesthetically pleasing. Cons: - shorter shaft lengths = slightly less shot distance. Short ironsare strongly lofted. Slightly high ball trajectory Overall - fantastic irons!

Great reviews. I'm currently playing mp32's and after a couple years off, am back into golf fully. My game is getting better, but not? close to where I used to play at about a 5 handicap. Im looking at changing from my old blade mizuno, only back playing the last number of weeks after a lengthy few years lay off.Held MP52 with rifle shat and thought, WOW. MP 53 im assuming is just an improvement on the MP 52? Feel is incredible and seems to allow plenty of workabilty on the ball but at the same time forgiving enough... going to use this club to get back into the swing of things while retaining the? forgivness until IM hitting it really true

So I have been playing MP14's for almost 15? years now. I used to be able to play more often and my game was much better (2 HCP). Now I only get to play 10-25 times a year. I still shoot consistenly about 79-82, but can sometimes shoot low 70s or higher 80s. I want something more forgiving, but don't need the distance of a burner 2.0 type. The argument is about 2 things: Firstly, you claimed that a 1700kg car would corner faster than a 1500kg car. This was wrong. You then later claimed that you had been saying lighter was better all along. This was a lie. The other claim you made? was that weight distribution neutralises inertia. This was wrong. Hi there, love the channel.. I went for the Mizuno's because I felt they offered much better feel and I hit them more consistenty and found they were more accurate. both are great clubs though, but i felt it was easier to enhance my game with? the mizuno's because they had a much better feel.. I'm an 8 hdcp. Tried both of these with a Taylormade rep doing the fitting. I was using a 6 iron and was hitting both between 190 and 200, but even the Taylor rep said I was much more consistent with the Mizuno. Both are great clubs, but for me the Mizzy works better. I don't think you could go wrong with either, but do yourself a favor and compare them under? the eye of a trained fitter. The machine will give you the data and you'll be able to get a feel for both.

I tried the Burner 2.0 today (Std setup, graphite shaft - they didn't have the JPX). After a warm up with my present 9i and 6i and after a few swings I got the rythmn of the club right and well struck shots went about 15y longer than my present 6i and felt wonderful in? the hands. Off shots went on line but shorter by 10 yards approx. I am definitely considering them along with the JPX800, Cobra S3, Wislon Ci9. Great series, thanks a million. Seamus, 15h/c hoping for better......

The Taylormades fired hard but the trajectory seemed much lower. The mishits gave plenty of feedback but also seemed much harsher than the other two. The Mizunos were perfect. They were hot off the face, had a higher trajectory, and the mishits gave sooo much feedback yet still managed to feel good. I hope this makes sense but I knew if I hit it off the toe, thin, left the face open, but it still felt smooth off the face and far? less punishing than the 2.0s.

I hit both of these clubs (along with Cobra? S3s). While Mark is giving feedback on good hits it was actually the mishits, because of my inconsistency, (along with trajectory) that led to my decision to go with the Mizuno JPX 800s... The Cobras felt really good, on all hits, but I really couldn't decipher between the sweet spot and those slightly off (keep in mind I was only hitting into a net at the golf shop). They weren't quite as hot as the other two sets.

I'm a 13-15 handicapper with a mid 80's swing speed with a 6iron, watched your old video on the jpx's, then went out and got fitted for? a new set. after being tired of being 2 clubs shorter than my playing partners, all i have to say now is BOOM!!!!!!!!! the clubs give me at least an extra 10 yards and a very high launch when i need to get them up. more than anything they're very easy to hit and very forgiving, giving me a huge confidence boost in my iron play!!!!

I? actually didn't like the Taylormades, believe it or not I lost distance lol compared to my nike victory red full cavity. Also I found them a bit chunky, I am not a good player but I do prefer a more classic and more skinny iron. Now I wanna try the JPX800 pros and the MP53's. I don't get the mentality of these irons, they are low CG irons, yet you launch them lower than you launch a blade like an MP68 (based on your other reviews), therefore as you said they are playing 2 clubs stronger. Why are people so obsessive about iron distance, I hit a 6 iron about 155-160 carry I really don't need a 6 iron I hit 180 I have a 4 iron for that. It's worse at the? low end how many gap wedges would I need...? 3 maybe.
