It's funny what we remember. I use to live in Jersey back in the 80's. They played the crap out of this ad during ball games and sitcoms. Well, over 20 years later, now living in Vegas I was humming this tune in front of my wife. Thinking out loud, I said my wife '"This tune is stuck in my head from this old 80s hospitality commercial, I wonder what hotel, it was for." a week or two later (today) my wife mentioned broadway tickets on frequent flier mileage website.? I remember this ad like it was last week. I even stayed here thanks to this ad. Small room but, nice place. As I recall it was $43 per person(which was the fine print) "based on 2x occupancy" meaning it cost a tad more single. These ads? ran nationally, in prime time, and this hotel for a time was associated well with this song. Had a travel agent book it, it was that long ago(no internet yet).

Jim Mero was not the best person to set that Nurburgring lap time. Given to someone like Jan Magnussen or John Heinricy I strongly believe it would beat the Enzo, probably the ACR? Viper, but maybe not the Gumpert. Also, the ZR1 uses magnetorheological dampers, just like the 599GTB, 458 Italia, Audi R8, Stryker Tank,....etc. Just to put Corvette "technology" into perspective. =)

How is Jim Mero not a real driver? He lapped the ZR1 just 1.1 second behind the Ferrari Enzo, and 1.1 second ahead? of the 2010 Nissan GT-R driven by Japanese F1 driver, on the Nurburgring. Keep in mind that the ZR1 does not have the technologies the Enzo or the GT-R has.

Barrels hold them up or at least they did back then. You jist go? under water and come up under the peers. I used to go there in the late 70's. I remember the pully rope that is to the right of the peers.. people used to push it a bit out, then, jump out to get speed. This women did it? and missed the roped. she fell and hit the water flat. She floated up to the top... The life guards got her and she was okay as far as i know. IT was 1978.
