This Film is soo good! I hate all these people that say its poorly acted or weird. They don't seem to realise the? difference between an uncomfortable and bad film. This film is not supposed to be laughter and happiness, its a serious film about mental health etc... Watching a mental patient is going to be uncomfortable, and the fact that it has the power to do that surely makes it a good, affecting film

Another way to look at it is that --SOMETIMES -- a theory, such as Newton's Laws of motion -- aren't necessarily proven WRONG as much? as "exceptions" are found, and a newer, more all-encompassing theory must be created which explains all the old stuff and the new stuff as well. This is what Einstein did with Newton's laws. OTOH, sometimes the science is just tossed out. This was the case with both Phlogiston Chemistry and Lumniferous Ether Physics (wiki them both).

Feynman taught himself to crack safes while working on the Manhattan project, and was constantly unlocking safes containing major government secrets (apparently not a big issue since he was one of the? physicists discovering those secrets anyway). I'd recommend the book "Seriously you're joking, Mr. Feynman" to anyone interested in his hilarious antics and insights. Mostly pranks, though.

We all get stuck with terrible teachers, which you are. When that happens you need to get a supplement. This book on grammar is supposed to be the best? The Elements of Style 4th edition. Geography is all about memorizing. I've found flash cards work best in those situations. I hope that helps. After you graduate, make sure you report the teacher so others may not have to be subjected to them in the future :)

I personally would just take notes during class, so I could figure out what the professor found important in the text. If I was losing focus I felt it was because I didn't understand a subject on a fundamental level. There? is a difference between memorizing formulas and understanding exactly how electricity works for example. In those situations I'd read supplement books that dealt with fundamentals in an interesting way

my study method is. go to the university do papers and organize my stuff during the day, get home eat , shower, sleep, wake at 2 am study till i have to go to class (with brakes). IMPORTANT: Sunday is brake day, relax, go out with your friends/girlfriend and just have a grate f** day :). This works and if you get self motivated the results are amazing. The key is loving what your doing! stimulates your brain! Its hard at the? beginning but after a few days it works :)

Cocoa uses? a Model - Controller - View design pattern for application layout (MVC). It's important that you generally have one controller to reference a view (AppController -> xib file window). It allows others looking at your code to know that the view will have a reference only from that view's controller object. To allow another classes to reference the view makes the layout confusing. Google "Cocoa Fundamentals Guide: Cocoa Design Patterns" for more on design patterns used in Cocoa.

Lol, ok now? I realize there's a lot more to learn for me. I have to switch from VBA to this and a lot doesn't really make sense to me. I mean why is it so hard to just create a class, and that class changes a label value. So if you have for example 20 buttons you only have to call that class.

Can you maybe show me how an IBAction calls another method, and the methods that's being called changes a label value. The thing is you probably don't even need the calc method if that's all it does. I would just through whatever you have to implement into your IBAction and go from there. Unless there is some compelling reason? to use a separate calc method.

First of all, you method names should ALWAYS start lowercase (following the conventions that I use in these tutorials, unless you are using an acronym like URL). Anyways your calc: method should return a new NSString with the modified changes, you can't change an NSString by simply passing it in since they aren't mutable. So your calc: method should return a new NSString from what you pass in and you can call this method in your IBAction call.?

First of all great videos! Thanks a lot! One question. I have a button and when I press the button a method is called. [myCalc Calc:string] So the method takes an argument, a string. This particularly method is doing something with the string and at the end I want a label to have the string value,? so at the end of the Calc method I typed: [label setStringValue:string] It doesn't work. If I do the same exact thing in the -(IBAction) method of the button it works. Why doesn't it work? Thanks,
