Do you really think that any branch of service can go around monitoring all of its members for the countless numbers? of heroic acts performed on the battlefield each day. What the Marine Corps did here was recognize one Marine that was "caught doing the right thing". This type of thing doesn't happen everyday. The fact that the Marine Corps awarded this Marine is a great thing!
