Well since our 'limited human understanding of tolerance' is the only one we're capable of thinking about it seems rational to discuss tolerance only as we understand it. I personally don't fall for this whole 'God is like a father' idea, I might have if my father was Josef Fritzl, but being a gay teenager with parents who will? support me in whatever path I take, I cannot see a God who would willingly throw his 'children' into hell as someone comparable to a parent.

But I was using an analogy with the law to show that there is no tolerance in believing that? people should be punished for a harmless act that you object to; whether the punishment comes after death or before death. Both of these ideas are equally as intolerant. Call yourself a Christian all you want, you guys might be right about everything; you might be the most moral guys on earth and the rest of us will burn in hell. But please, don't call yourself tolerant.
