Stop calling LED-LCD TV's LED TV's. It's so misleading. Who told you that this plain wrong marketing term should be adopted as an actual "decent"? description of a certain type of baclight used in a LCD screen!? Dynamic contrast also not worth mentioning almost everyone turns it off. TV's these days don't even have it turned on out of the box. Me is always told "led is better" Not that the traditional? lcd has some advantages too. I think i choose for a lcd tv because they are cheaper and go for oled when they are nog 4000 + anymore

OMG! he explained my problem with my? LED monitors how I get the snowy distorted effect. My new monitor "NEC" is backlit with CCFL and looks so much better. LED backlights are a gimmick and just conserve energy. CCFL is the way to go for quality. New CCFLs are just as bright if not at times brighter than LED.

What i want to know is, do LED's set off the same ugly Dismal, bland, pissy and drab uncolorful glow like LCD's do? since LCD's use a CFL/Flueroscent back.... My other Plasma on the other hand sets off? a beautiful glow.

Same monitor except for the 1. Built in emitter on the? monitor and 2. The glasses themselves. Basically the "T" version is only 3d ready but you STILL have to buy separately the Nvidia emitter and the glasses while on the "TX" version its already packaged in the monitor just like the Asus VG278H monitor.

What appeals to me about this monitor is it's? build quality and near-IPS image quality. I say near IPS because a quality calibrated IPS panel will give you better color accuracy than that the PLS gives. Paid advertising guys.

I was merely pointing out that it is a very similar aesthetic design to a Mac ( aluminum body, solid black border on a glass front.) This bloke has talked this monitor up like its the best thing since slice bread. I purchased one about 2 weeks ago, and I've had to replace it because of a dead pixel. I accepted that as being the norm, and received a replacement unit. This replacement? unit had no dead pixel but will on accassions become ghostly (and distorted) for no apparent reason. My Samsung 244T is in my oppinion is not that far behind in picture quality, and had never failed me. Don't read into the hype.

I just got this monitor and it is Outstanding. I did notice some color aberrations or ghosting when the monitors response time setting was set to fastest, So I recommend setting it to Normal for flawless motion. Also, Get the No Dead Pixel Exchange Guarantee! These panels are so new that manufacturing? issues remain. My first one had one, and a friend had 3, but 2 disappeared on their own. @Ludak021 No details changed - Skyrim still at very high (with? the texture pack installed) and TW2 still at high both @1440p. Of course there is a drop in fps it's but not a game killer. Haha, don't think I'll bother with ubersampling, It would probably cripple my system @1080p! Anyway, point being I really don't need another GTX580 for a smooth experience...so far anyway. Nevertheless I will prob upgrade to SLI later :D

It all comes down to what satisfies you and how did you setup the game, did you change any details, lowered any settings, did you even change the resolution etc. Some 20-30% in FPS drop should exist normally, so if the game ran at 50fps in 1080p, it should run at about 30~40fps average @1440p with the same settings. If game ran @100fps @1080p (or could have run) then? no change would be noticeable. Enable ubersampling in witcher 2...

Skyrim isn't really a benchmark for gtx580 :) I played it in 1080p everything maxed out + additional details + 2xMSAA with HD6790 it had 55-60fps everywhere except in towns of course. Try something like Crysis 2? or BF3, Skyrim is based of 6 year old engine :P

picture does not need to be more vibrant or bright or contrasty on professional panel, it "just" needs to be accurate and all professional models, after calibration have accurate color reproduction so this monitor can only be as good as others (calibrated) in that class, I can't see how it can be any better except in black? level domain (after calibration to meet the standards). Out of the box comparison to other monitors is not fair nor useful.

Great Video. Got my replacement screen today and was able to? follow along without any major issue. Very helpful for sure. It made it much easier than I thought it was going to be. BTW, I got mine from a company called Gadgettown on Ebay. Was around $29.00 and was packed very well. I've done this a few times, and the only time it failed is when? I didn't reconnect the video connector all the way. There's not much to the connectors beyond the 'click' into place. I'd be leaning towards a defective unit if you're sure you've done it right. I recommend getting the parts stateside if you're US based, that way the shipping/timing isn't too lengthy. Good luck!

I tried to do this and everything went very well except? the screen touch is unresponsive? I restored it but still didn't work!! I double checked the connections and I'm pretty sure I didn't miss anything - perhaps the new screen was defective but how could I prove that? I have it for my HOME and it is awesome monitor! I have some backlight bleeding in one corner but this really isn't a problem. I see it only if I have dark picture and dark in my room. And this monitor have? one biiiig advantage against other 27" IPS monitors. AG coating is a lot less agressive so the text and everything else has a lot better quality.

4k tvs are ONLY good for 3D movies, they are not worth the money for a regular bluray! You wont notice any difference in quality unless you want a tv 70inches or larger. Save your money, dont bother buying one unless you can afford it, and rather have a tv that will be out of date in a few months, then get a new car, B) Your movies are all in 3D and you dont want to wear awesome Real D glasses like LG tvs require for glasses without batteries tvs (Circular Polarization the same? RealD 3D)

4K is good for 3D bout the only thing, otherwise its not worth the money. No content is out at 4K yet. Any screen over 77 inches then 4K is great, otherwise theres no difference watching non 3D content on a regular 1080p screen. Reminds me of the? Pioneer Kuro, everyone said it was much nicer and yet it only had a 768p screen, the contrast was awesome.

Try checking the backlight of your TV. It will most likely be located on the back of your TV in the Vents. If you don't? see any white light, then the backlight if your TV could have possibly went out and needs to be replaced. Usually when you power up your TV & receive audio but no picture it is a backlight issue.

I appreciate your redo of the capacitor video, but there's a few things you should note to us. When changing the capacitors, say you change 3 out of 6 capacitors, if you decide to up the volts on the 3 that you changed, is it? alright to leave the other 3 capacitors that you did not change with the original volt? It seems like you would have 3 capacitors at 1000uf50v and the old capacitors at 1000uf25v, is that okay?
