What? American Gangster will never be considered a classic. The reviews were all less than stellar. Blueprint 3, was a mainstream rap-pop album. It fell far from classic hov and it? was just horrible. The REAL onsensus among hip hop listeners is that reasonable doubt and the blueprint is a classic. The black album was good at best. The general consensus on American Gangster is a classic, and I agree, its exactly what a modern? day Reasonable Doubt would sound like, and his lyrically, he hasn't been that dope since Blueprint IMO. Bluperint 3 was dope as well, it was totally different than what he has ever done.. KC gets alot of hate, but I never knew why? Beach Chair and Minority Report were classics. Dig A Hole, Trouble, 30 Something, Lost Ones,and Do U Wanna Ride were sick as well.

Hit Em Up was so big cuz? it was so shocking to hear Pac go out Big like that. Big was on top at the time and for Pac to straight shit on him everybody was like WHOA. The truth is out. And you can maybe then can realize what created the buzz from the diss to begin with. For Dre day, Was it the diss or the actual track. Cause I remember being in love with the track/song and forgot that it was a diss.? Ether, was it the diss or shock value. Cause I remember most people saying, "I didn't think he could come back". Well, here's the thing, your either right or I'm wrong, or it's a combination of the two. Hip Hop is about aggression. Hip Hop is also about Facts, being real. People follow Jeezy, Tupac, NWA because the really lived what these guys were talking about. They give them a real voice from a hopefully real source.Yeah, many non true disses. I respectfully disagree. If I go around telling the world that I fucked your wife and people buy into that shit, eventually that becomes true even if it isn't. I compare to when we used to play the dozens with our friends and cut jokes on each other. Obviously most of that shit wasn't true, but it ain't about being factual. Look at Ice Cube's "No Vaseline" or Dr. Dre's "Dre Day". There are? plenty of examples of this in hip hop. Some of the best disses aren't factual.

True, but in a battle facts don't mean everything. Tupac yelled "fuck you" and "i fucked your wife" a bunch of times in Hit Em Up and everybody calls it this great diss, yet Long Kiss Goodnight was 10 times better lyrically yet doesn't have the impact. Charlemagne talked about it. Hip Hop is about aggression and Ether was more aggressive than Takeover. Yes Takeover was factual and technically a better song, but Ether had that impact on the? fans.
