I have to agree with you. I love Metallica and I have since I was? in 6th grade. Loyality as a fan is a misunderstood quality amongst people now. Having said that, I hate the way James sounds now. He yodels for God's sake, it's horrible! When they start to play Master of Puppets now I cringe (and I know everybody knows what I'm talking about!). i agree that metallica play the newer songs (DM) faster live but they cant play the songs from the 80's like they used to. The best example is probably trapped under ice live. Oh and Slayer? have much faster songs than angel of death. Try listening to the rest of the reign in blood album and and you'll see. I like metallica live but personally i believe slayer deserve a fucking medal for the consistency they have shown in their live shows over 29 years, just incredible IMO
