Gauss is kind of tedious, so it makes sense that someone gets lost solving it. nevertheless, it's a very useful,? very powerful method. Thanks for the video my friend!

Thank you so much. I'm in a numerical analysis class in college and I missed this lecture and I now understand it better than those who attended the lecture. I just wanted to say thank you and this video is so helpful, probably part of the reason I will actually pass the final. I literally can not thank you enough. AMAZING? job!!

Wouldn't it depend on the scale of the problem? If there is 1 processor for each xi, then it would depend on the speed of the processors, right? If there's 100 x's, then it takes 1 parallel calculation under Jacobi and 100 serial calculations under Gauss. Assuming the processors were all the same speed, then Jacobi could go through 100 iterations in the time Gauss goes through 1 iteration; Gauss still has to do the xi's at the top? (i.e. i = 1:10) while Jacobi would already be done.

x1, x2, x3,..xn is the standard notation for? the scalar variables in a vector x (usually bolded). x,y,z is usually used for 3D coordinates.

very? clear, Thank you

In mathematics we use x1? x2 and x3 very often. So if you are going to study mathematics then you need to get used to it.
