anyone who hates either of the versions clearly doesn't know music. bon ivers version is emotional in it's own right, as well as birdys. plus with birdy singing these songs, she gives the original bands a lot more recognition. she's a beautiful artist, and so is bon iver. you can take anything from this song. you can take a love story. you can take a best friend wishing for an anorexic/bulimic friend to be okay. you can even take an actual person wishing themselves? to not have an ed.
