How legitimate is this story? what scientific peer? review occurred? I can tell you after extensive research that there is none, the media like to sensationalize, and conjuring up stories like this are the fruits of this contextual desire. If you actually look into the story, and talk with the family, this girl did virtually nothing, the words shown on screen are fictional representations of what actually happened, how else are you suppose to get emotional humans to watch advertisements?

omg....this girl is amazing. I have a son with DS and i know something like this would never happen....but autistic children are sooo different, they are NOT mentally retarded as oppose to DS , they just cannot show their abilities, this girl finally did. unfortunately, this is one in a million cases, most people with severe autism? are never able to "come out", some do through art or amazing knowledge in particular area, but again, he had sooo many therapies, got lots of help, which most dont.

I'm always astonished by the incredible intelligence of autistic people. They seem to understand things FAR better than "normal" people, but just have so many barriers to overcome to express it. It's almost like their brains are too advanced for their bodies, more or less. I suffer from Tourette's Syndrome, and can totally understand unavoidable tics, but dang...what she must be going through, with all that? mental overload. Carly's a truly amazing person! :)

disabled is another word for being different,unique...diabled doesn't literally mean disabled because as u can see she is amazing...and not only her of course many others who are blind and so forth? are extraordinary in other aspects that normal/avg people are not and sometimes find hard to comprehend

Why call it "unimaginable intelligence"? It seems to me Carly was never unintelligent, just delayed in regulating her behavior. I am very proud? that she is now able to express herself by typing! I hope she continues to do great work!
