du means the same thing as derivative of u. du, in this case, equals 2x dx (du=2x dx) now we want solve for dx, which equals du/2x (dx=du/2x) plug in your dx into your equation (2x u^100 dx) and the 2x cancels out leaving you with your? u^100 du (2x u^100 du/2x)

Whether you add or subtract "C" is irrelevant because C is an unknown constant. It may be positive or? negative, we don't know unless we are solving a DEFINITE integral. Think of it this way, if you differentiate an equation with a constant at the end, it becomes zero. Regardless of whether or not you add or subtract that constant, the derivative of it is zero. Therefore when you integrate, the constant added to the end has no known value (for an indefinite integral).

@hiphopblues the biggest difference is that my method adds Maschine to the library and does not force you to decide how many channels to use before you start working. I like to keep my workspace tidy, so adding 8-16 channels sometimes creates more visual mess for me on screen. My method allows you? to simply add each midi channel individually through the library tab.

You may want to reconsider your setup. 1 MIDI Channel holds 128 Notes, so that should be enough to hold all of your drums. Logic has a feature? that can split/separate regions by MIDI Notes. I use this feature when I need to separate my drums and "Bounce in place" to audio. Hopefully that information helps.

I have the stewart - calculus - concepts and contexts. in 6.6 #4 it says to use simpson's rule of a force function f(x) where? x is measured in meters and f(x) in newtons. It gives a table of x and f(x) values. It gives x from 0 to 18 in increments of 3 and a few f(x) values ranging from 9.8 to 7.4. The rule of ln (x^p) = p (ln (x)) where in this case is? (ln(x))^2. I am 99.9% sure you cannot use U-Sub as well because 1/x cannot be pulled out unless theres a higher math rule I do not know about (Only in Calc 2).

i had the same question. If you do not change the bounds of integration then you would need to plug in x^3+1 for 'u'. However, since patrickJMT changed the bounds of integration? with respect to 'u', we can simply plug in the new bounds for 'u'. Try doing it both ways, and you will get the same answer.

No, he specified the limits of integration from y=0 to y=x. So it only is looking at the first quadrant. -pi/2 to pi/2 would cover quadrants 1 and 4. There is? no point to integrate a quadrant where your region? isn't defined in. And it goes to pi/4 because that is the ray that matches the limit of integration y=x.

A little bit of? info to add to his awesome video is what my prof goes by, the LATE rule... Logarithms, Algebraic, Trigonometric and Exponential. When looking for u, u will be Logarithms over every thing else if no Logarithms u should be Algebraic if no Algebraic u should be Trigonometric and so on, hope that helps :)

Thank you for making this so much simpler for me. My calculus teacher would drone on? and on about some very complicated way to solve these kinds of integrals, and this just takes all of the steps he was showing us and condenses it into a couple. Thanks again for the insight!

The worst thing about calculus I find is simplification and powers, it's all based on simple rules, could you do more really hard examples where the simplification gets harder? Like where you have fractions of? fractions etc.
