Of course lots of these people do or say these things behind the comfort of a computer screen so I laugh. He's not super talented, just an average guy. The songs he sang were very simple, no flourishes or improvising that showcased his range and? style. Now pulling off a Led Zeppelin tune, that was impressive. Not sure why she was voted off so early. I guess the girls didn't like Zeppelin so much.

I do hate when people say it's only the teenage girls voting. I'm not a teenager or in my twenties, and I would buy this boy's album in a New York minute. His voice is haunting and I love his growl and he is exciting to watch. That's what it's about, how much a perfomer moves? you, whether they have the high notes in their singing style or not. Philip is good looking, I won't lie, but so was Ace Young & a few other idols that I DIDN"T end up voting for because they bored me too tears & had nothing new to offer. With Phillip, It's not just looks or voice alone,? it's the whole package and this boy has it all, straight down to his crazy spastic movements and legs kicks. When I first saw him audition with Superstition and Thriller I knew there was something special about him. He didn't only win because he was talented he beat out the others because he wasn't afraid to be himself. He changed the style in the songs he? sang, he was so down to earth, and he's an amazing kid. I have never seen an American Idol winner get so emotional. It shows that he's not afraid to pour his heart out and the fact that he went straight for his parents I love him even more.

Coming directly from the "horse's mouth" (Jimmy Iovine's @ post-AI press con): JS looked at 3 or 4 songs but they all "basically sucked". Even one that was more R&B didn't appeal to JS -- its melody was simply lacking. JS chose this Change Nothing tune despite her reservations because it was as close as it could? get to a "winner". Jimmy I admitted lack of material time prevented them tweaking the song some more to suit JS's style. As far as I'm concerned JS did very well. Esp. studio version.

I think Jimmy is not that stupid. He just don't have integrity. The entire season he was saying about Song Choice but he chose two bad songs for Jessica during top 3 and top 2. I think he intentionally chose these two songs so Philip will shine at the end. Jimmy, if you are stupid you don't deserve to be where you? are right now. What happen if they got iTunes on Phillippines. It still don't count as sales on United States. Sales on united states it important because it determine the peak of the song at Billboard Hot 100.? Most of Jessica's fans is either from Phillippines or buy her album in stead of singles. Album sales can drop in one second but singles will have a consistent sales. Most of her fans already had a song that they want to buy in the album so they won't buy her singles. that's why she's not in Top 100 yet

IF you r concerned re "ptichy" let's look at the JH/JS duet. JH/JS were pitchy/flat/sharp/dry shouted much of the melody. Specifically JH is flat at .20, 2.54, and the first note of the final "mee". The harmony is way off at 1:12, 2.36-2.38. JS is flat at "eyes" .47; 1.47 "will", 2;45 "love me", and there are many more examples how pitchy that monstrosity was. And? as for what american idol is about,its not about finding the best anything,its about giving singers a place to showcase what they got and the audience votes for them.People vote for different reasons, some vote for the? favourite singer, some vote for who they think is the coolest or who they relate to the most because thats what appeals to them. And thats why any talent show that allows people tovote becomes a mere popularity contest.But votes generate money and thats what its really about.

you clearly missed my point which was that everything you are saying is not wrong but is also not fact but opinion. for example not every top singer gives everybody goose-bumps, different? singers do different things for different people. PP has never given me goosebumps, in fact I and my friends find his performances underwhelming. After speaking to you my opinion of PP has changed. Dude - EVERYONE knows No More Drama. It's a fantastic song and Joshua sang it beautifully, but his fan base doesn't call and text 1,000 times an hour. Phillip and Jessica were the more popular contestants, but Joshua was the best one. And crying sabotage - pffft. I? could do the same with the judges picking a Matchbox 20 album track for Phillip that week, or Jimmy picking a song for Jessica with waaaay too many key changes.

I wished the other two contestants well, but, I did not watch the finals and I do not plan to support Idol in the future. I can't support injustice, Joshua should have appeared in the finals. Jessica & Phillip, both of whom are talented penciled out in the end better than Joshua, maybe they have more pop appeal to European & Asian markets and IDOL felt Joshua might only appeal to R & B. ?

Joshua was used by the IDOL elites to boost their weekly ratings because each week he put on a phenomenal show and folks tuned into watch. In the end, after they used him, he was intentionally given a bad song to sing; unless you? are a MJB fan, most people have never heard "No More Drama" and unless you are a MJB fan, most people don't even like the song. Joshua's elimination proved what many have said for years & why many no longer watch. IDOL is rigged and grossly unfair. The IDOL elite select the winner long the finals, they have a preconceived idea of who should be the IDOL and it is not based upon who is the most talented, but the? most marketable. Joshua deserved a place in the finals and IDOL fans were cheated because we did not get the opportunity to see the most entertaining artist of Season 11 get an opportunity to compete.
