I can agree his body position was not good, but the key factor in this crash is plain and simple.. normal road tyres! Road tyres are designed with durability as a key factor and grip only being taken into consideration with durability and water dispersion. The hard rubber combined with the high amount of tread pattern and the fact that these tyres have done untold amounts of heat cycles and probably left in the sun for extended periods of time.. All these factors make road tyres bad? for grip!

I think it's more simple than all that... I watched it over and over and over and I think that he was leaning his bike down farther than he had to at that speed (or any speed)... I mean... he was scratching his freakin' peg.? He scratched it once and came up and the second time he did the rear tire gave out. Who needs to scratch their peg on a sportbike really?
