Thanks Jeff! I shot my best round so far at my? course (78) but it could of easily been 73 or 74. I had a few 3 putts and some bad 2 putts. This routine looks like it offers confidence for any putt on any green, and I will definately give it a go! Cheers!

The key to making putts is actually consistency in your? length. I try to train myself to always hit it 1-3 feet past the hole. Even If I don't make it, to go past the whole is the most important thing, because if you have the line it has a possibility too drop.

Also think about if you are an aggressive putter or non-aggressive...what line you choose depends on it. If you are non-aggressive and happy lagging, then you must add MORE to the break to allow for the grain/slope to affect the? ball. If you are aggressive and play less break, act accordingly and be ready for those 3-4 ft comebackers!

Mr. Ritter...I've been playing golf for over 35 years, and was once fairly decent, down to about an 8. Over the past couple of years in? a feeble attempt to rescue my game, I filled my head with so many different swing thoughts, that I was paralyzed by constant internal analysis, and was ready to give up the game. You have to keep in mind. For someone who has sliced and taken deep divots off the toe of the club for his entire golfing life....to see a shallow divot, center hit and a ball that curves back to the left after only 60 minutes of work was quite pleasing. He returned a week later and we continued with the program to great results. This was just an example of how "real change" can be made with the? proper mindset. Thanks for your comments...I appreciate all of the posts.

that restricted feeling is one of 'connection'. you feel like it's powerless because you're so used to using your arms to propel the? club at the ball. Using the large muscles in your legs back and core while maintaining proper 'connection' will allow you to hit the ball more powerfully and with much more control. I like what Jeff teaches. it's not the only way, but it works really well. just have to work at it.

Thanks for your question. As you can see, he made the change quite effectively. Keep in mind,? if you want the ball flight to change, you have to do "something" that's going to make a "real difference." I never assume that someone can't easily learn to adapt and improve quickly. The key to making a big change at a fast pace is really in the way you communicate it to the student. Yes, it's going to feel awkward, but when it looks better and flies better, that's all you need to inspire someone!

Hi Jeff, Another great lesson example. The pupil really seesm to have grasped the concept of the? swing changes very easily. One question, Would this be a normal amount of changes you make in a 45 minute lesson. 1.Grip change from palm to more fingers 2. More forward tilt in posture 3. soften increase wrist elbow bend 4. baseball feel/ swing low and left sensation post impact. I am a little suprised that you would change so much in that time. what are your thoughts?

Another hole in one Jeff! Great video - as usual simple, clear and effective. This, as with your other videos, was very helpful. I finally figured? out what you meant by "hands in front, hands behind" Just one thing that I wonder about is more 'classic' teachers like Jim McLean (who in general seem over complicated) talk of the club shaft pointing to the center of the chest (arms staying in synch with the torso) during the first part of the take away. What is your point of view on this please?

Jeff, you mention that Snead unwinds his chest to the left. Is this a feeling of pulling the left shoulder back rather than pushing the right shoulder forward? It's a "feeling" and not meant to be literal in the sense that he didn't have a strong lower body move as well. Based on the nature of his arm swing sequence, he could unwind his upper hard as well without disrupting his plane, much like a baseball player who turns the chest hard to left field. Some players have to hold the chest back, while others? do not which is one of the points of this thread.

I don't get how Snead's is a top down swing???? the guy has driven his hips way open (much more than Tiger) at impact and he was a player famous for the 'Snead Squat' which was his power move...... I agree that Snead was way more handsy and 'slingy' than the mechanical and lower body dominant? Hogan, however imo that doesn't mean that he didn't use the lower body tremendously in the downswing and even use it to initiate from the top to produce his best and most powerful swings.

I think he should go back to the swing he starting winning with and what feels natural to him, after all it did win him 14 majors and 71 pga tour events. they guy has probably studied the swing into such minute detail we couldn't even imagine and im sure he's well aware of exactly how he's swinging and the difference between his swing in? this video as compared to a guy like snead.

its not the swing...its the speed. His swing is easier to repeat? because it is less dependent on a handsy motion/ also for distance control....He is missing more because he is trying to keep his edge...Different eras...Funny how nobody ever compares him to someone of his own era that is as long and more accurate...Hell I could hit as many fairways as Hogan if my goal was to hit it 210 down the middle on a 500 yd par 4, but i wouldnt be getting any looks at birdie...

I believe since his current swing requires too much timing, he is forced to "slow" down his unwind in order to coordinate his arm swing and body turn. If he were to put himself in a? position where he was not concerned with "timing" so much, he could unload and play more towards his true speed potential.

Jeff, I've always been impressed with your videos. One thing is missing. I believe Sam Snead said, "People don't hit solid shots because they don't take the time to learn a proper grip". I'm surprised you haven't uploaded a video on the proper golf grip (or perhaps I have missed it). I think all of your? students would benefit, so here's hoping you provide a video regarding perhaps the most important fundamental in golf.

Although Sam's left arm raises a bit, his arms work behind on both sides of the swing, which is congruent with one plane theory. A one plane action, requires less timing in order to keep the club on plane, while allowing for? a strong powerful unwind. Yes, Sam had beautiful rhythm, but he didn't need it as much as Tiger or a swing such as Payne Stewart.

he may never miss a fairway, but he also never wins a tournament. just? sayin'. but, yeah, if tiger hit the fairway like that, it's over...again. I do like Mahan's swing, too, though. And, who could effectively use their core better than Tiger. Scary thought. I'm thinking that Tiger immediately thinks 'stuck' when he sees the 'one plane', arms behind, arms in front, arms behind sequence. Someone would have to do a really good job of selling him on it.

I just think with that laid off action that Haney teaches, along with the downward move that Tiger makes in his downswing, He's always gonna be very inaccurate. It is so easy to get stuck from there and he's always gonna be catching up with his hands. I agree that a more rotary swing.... swinging more with the core is a much better action in the golf swing. A whole lot less timing? involved and in my opinion... way more accurate. All I have to say is watch Hunter Mahan. Never misses a fairway

Thanks, Jeff. I was growing tired of? listening to Johnny Miller say that Tiger should dig out the 2000-2001 videos and copy THAT swing. Or to Brandel Chamblee talk about how Tiger doesn't have his 'thumbs under the shaft' at the top. You're right, everyone has an opinion, but you give a good argument for Tiger using a 'single plane' action. Can you break down for us how he can use the single plane action to regain control of his power fade? In my opinion, that's what he's missing most.

will be purchasing this club. ive been watching commercials all weekend long and decided to see what really makes this club work and? this video has opened my eyes. you also have helped me with a big problem in my game....trying to get underneath the ball....i always thought that the cause of me topping the ball was due to me picking my head/body up. making sure the shaft is in the proper position is something that i guess i took for granted. thanks for the advice!!!

Great Product...i purchased the tour striker pro 7i...managed to pull down my handicap from 21.5 to 15.3 in just a month..my shots are more consistent and fat shots decreased dramatically...planning to? purchase the 5i soon.

10-14-11: not to sound like an infatuated groupie, but I? continue to love the product. Last year, I dropped ~ 15 strokes on average. This yr I was hoping for a great golf-year and signed up for 5 lessons back in May. So far, I've only take 2 of those lessons and was screwed up for 3+ months afterwards (due to my own lack of practice). In the last week, I've had ~ 7 or 8 15-min. practice sessions with my Tour-Striker 5i (back yard net) and am already back to hitting consistent rock solid shots

if you'll just persist a bit longer and continue to practice with your TS iron, your muscles will calibrate themselves toward a better golf swing..... this result is inevitable; but you need to be a bit patient and a bit persistent (PS....I'm not affiliated with this product in any way whatsoever....other than as a customer like you -- I'm usually a pretty critical? guy..but when I find something brilliant, I'll say so...and this product is ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT! .....loving golf now!

@cmartingolf: After not golfing for 5 months during the Mich winter, & having gone only once to an indoor range back in January, I played my first round of golf last week..... expecting a rusty first round, but instead had one of my best ball-striking rounds ever. EVERY drive was solid and "out there"; all but one were in the fairway...........the biggest chunk of credit goes to the TS Pro five-iron I bought last summer.....yes, I put in the practice time but,? the TS made it pay off. Love it!

Don't know my handicap but I shoot around 85 on a hard course my swing speed is just under 100mph with driver. Idk which one to get. I feel that I hit down but my ball flight is low and I hit it fat? a lot, but only sacrificing maybe 5 yds. I can tell though because my divot is just behind the ball... Any advice

This is such a scam, its really meant for scratch and pro golfers, not amateurs. You can achieve hitting down on the ball by swing? inside out whereas most amateurs swing over the top without knowing it. This club will not help to fix that but, will only make a weekend golfer hit a deeper divot.

I have tried this product, and while I have only experienced a modicum of success with it so far, the theory behind it is sound. Ball compression is definitely the key to solid ball striking.? For those looking for a quick-fix, don't blame the product if you don't find instant success. This, like everything else in golf, takes practice. Give the product and the theory behind it a fair shake and an honest effort before commenting about it.

Hi, thanks for trying the product.? You are a scratch player? That is awesome. A lot of Tour players use the club in their training regimen. If your mp68's are actuall harder to hit than the TS, you have the wrong shafts in the clubs. There is no way on God's green earth that any iron, unless it is misfit is harder to hit than an elevated leading edge training club. Clearly you are a fine striker. The TS for better players is more about training in consistency than forword lean. Cheers.

Martin I bought three clubs and the x version I already have lag as I am a scratch player I was hopeful that I was going to generate more lag by using the x as advertised well to be honest my mp68's are tougher to hit for me believe me I really wanted to struggle with this so I can improve... I did not try a strike plate so I will try that tomorrow if not I may need? to return as I think the cavity back model in the x is not ideal for low hc trying to get better... Great idea however...

The instructional DVD that comes with the TS Pro is outstanding. Martin discusses: grip, swing, turn,tempo, club face? & more. I'm a 17 hc got my TSP 7-Iron yesterday took to the range today hit 2 large buckets and after about 5 whacks a was able to make solid contact on about 60% of my shots. With my game I was hesitant to buy the TS Pro vs, Reg TS and was surprised I could hit it. Hope the progress continues .Martin is a great teacher!

Update - With the TS Pro and over the last 2 months of practising, I've taken between 15 and 20 strokes off my game. I'm CONSISTENTLY making the kind of solid contact that only occured rarely before. I just shot an 88 (pretty tough course from the blues)....first time breaking 90 and had I putted better, could? very well have broken 80. My stats were 80% fairways and 42% greens in regulation. Golf is so much more enjoyable now that I'm striking the ball properly !!!!! Brilliant Idea.
