An engineer, Homer Kelley was very familiar with physics & math, and applied scientific principles to understand the swing movement in terms of it's geometry, the biomechanics of how the body moves, and the physics of force production. I like the 'train? track' idea Charlie, to get you hitting down on the ball slightly. This is something I need to do, as most of my longer irons just keep on running once they hit the ground, which means I have to plan for that inmy approach shots. This makes the game evben harder on certain holes!

awsome, ive only just staeted playing golf, and i had a game today on a short hole course, i found that when i did focus on impacting the? ball and allowing the club to do the work i had a much better shot, but other times i wasnt so lucky, but im working on it cause i enjoy the game more, thanks for the tip and i will check out your site thanks!

Hey. how to unscrew a lightbulb, first wear gloves because if the bulb breaks you'll have to go to a hospital for stitches, they don't give you? stitches to take home, well you take them home to use for later when you've done all your bulbs, i once screwed a bulb in too tight ( one of them curly ones ) did you know that curly ones dont get hot like a normal bulb so you don't need your gloves on really, well you could if you wanted to and then go do some gardening i spose.

HEY. did you know a rabbit has big hind feet so he can sit and eat at the same time, but only weeds that is because weeds grow higher than grass so he has to nibble things slowley until he is full, some rabbits are never full so they nibble at anything close, why run arround empty when the weeds are handy ? rabbits by the way can run faster than a horse? if he is scared maybe.

people always feel that u have to open the club face to get loft you dont, the club does the work for u as your not surposed to get as much hight with your 6 iron as if you were hiting with your 9. When people open their club face with their long irons they tend to hook or draw and by the way this wasnt aimed at? the video because its a good tutorial.

I have a question, I use a "baseball" grip, and recently I've learned it isnt good for adult males, usually people with smaller hands etc, so i tried to overlap the? pinky *tiger grip* Now Ive noticed my wrists are WAY off as far as timing goes, and i lose Alot of distance, So generally my questions are, A. The Number one reason if you are slicing or hooking? the ball too much - chances are you are swaying your hips too much, meaning your body weight is shifting outside your right foot if you are a right handed golfer. Try to load properly aginst your right leg engaging your large large muscles in your back to make the coil. This is get your club on the correct plane and will give you maximum power and consistency. Learn to pivot properly it will greatly improve your game.

Mark - Let's look at this hip turn / tilt? issue from a biomechanical perspective. As a Chiropractor I know that just about everyone starts off at address with a hip tilt. Rt handed golfers invariable have a lt superior hip and sacral tilt. When they turn their lead hip will appear lower than the right as your video shows. This is a misalignment that I check and correct on myself before I attempt to swing a golf club. Mark's got some great material here on YouTube and a sharp new app too!

Here's a thought... everyones wrong! There are numerous things you can do to slice/fade a golf ball. For instance, even if your club face is closed and you have good position at the top of your swing, if you initiate the down swing with your upper body you can cut across the ball creating a slice. The video points out one way to fix slice, it? doesnt claim to fix everything.

Sorry, you are wrong. The top of your backswing has nothing whatsoever to do with impact. (Unless,? however you play "dead-handed"). You can have a severely closed clubface at the top of the backswing, yet still hit shanks & slices. People are looking in the wrong places for good golf. Yourself included. ;)

Slicers forget this. The guys a good teacher no doubt, but sometimes good teachers can still teach the wrong approaches when fixing problems. If youre slicing the ball and you already have a good solid grip, youre either not loose enough over the ball or you are out? of position at the top of your backswing. Probably the later!!

This guy is correct. The golf swing is not called a "swing" for? nothing. It should never be thought of as HITTING. The relatively slow movement of an arm activates a bull whip and by the time that energy reaches the tip the sound barrier has broken - SNAP! It can. One of many factors that can cause a slice is poor posture. You might be standing too close to the ball which makes it hard for your chest to rotate and the club have plenty of room to swing out to the ball. ? This would cause you to cut across the ball (or swing out to in as it is called) and slice. But people like Jim Furyk are perfectly comfortable standing close to the ball, but they make compensations later in the swing to "catch up" Hence his weird looking swing.
