@TheBlueGumby If its one of the "mid grade" balls you can put your line in any direction. I have tried this experiment. Using both techniques you will get results close enough for government work. Unless you are tour player or regularly play tourneys that uphold the one ball rule swap out on the green for a high end ball like a Pro-V or a 330? and use that ball solely for putting. I know lots of guys and gals that do this.

It seems to me both the float test and the spin marker are needed for the best results. The float test weeds out the bad balls and the spin marker puts a precise line on the good balls. I would like to see a ball marked with in the float test and then marked in the spin marker. Only 1 line should result. If only the? float test is used; can't you start your line in any direction as one point doe's not define a line? I don't see how you would get the same line the spin method would produce.

Great informative knowledge. But in cases that we are playing in a official tournament, the rule is that we can't switch balls for putting. As in this case, after the ball was striked several times from? the T-Off until it reaches the green, there must be a possibility that the golf ball's balance may be altered. as well as maybe your grip on the grip is too open, i used to have the same problem then i got a few lessons and the teacher helped me with that, try close the your hand grip more for example if your right handed put your left hand, so that the left hand thumb is directly down the middle of it and the right hand thumb close that hand a? lot so that the thumb of your right hand cuts directly to the left on top of the left hand thumb :) hope that helps

Cont 4 Hit down on the ball and don't try to lift it. If you do this correctly the divot will be in front of were the ball was sitting. In turn this is what causes back spin. The steeper the angle the more back spin. Patients this will take time. And that is basically the perfect golf swing. write this down and watch Tiger's swing on youtube from the front view where he? is facing towards you and also when you see his back swing clearly. This is the secret on hitting it straight.

Cont. 3 At impact the steep motion you created with your arms? and hands ahead of the clubhead traps the ball and rides up the grooves and goes off like a rocket creating back spin as well. The "toe in the air" sequence by cmartingolf is part of a wrist role sequence in your swing. On the back swing bring the toe in the air and role it back at impact. When done correctly the clubhead will be closed on the finish of your swing.

Im 12 and have been playing for 10 years, my dad was a professional, and i had the same problems a few months ago. What my dad told me was to get in an athletic stance, (bend your knees a little) and act as if you had a basketball in your hand. keep your head down and bring the "ball" back as if you were handing the ball to someone, then pass the ball out in front. do that a few times before every say 3 swings at the range. You are probably spiining out which is why they slice.?

Im 19 years old 5'6 tall. Im very short but my? speed is 105. I strike it just as hard as the pros. I cant ever use any other ball but the PRO V1 X. I can do anything with the control Of this ball. Great reviews as always! Would love to see year to year comparisons of clubs. Like 910 vs 909 and the like. I have become sort of a titleist convert recently. I switched to the V1 from the Callaway tour series and have not looked back. I have the 910 driver & 3w and love them both!? I still play Mizuno irons though (MX300). I love the new V1x. I agree with an earlier post that said it doesnt bite quite as much as V1. I have hit similar shots with wedges and find the V1 to bite and come back

I play the new pro v1x exclusively, I backed it up 10 feet the others day on a 60 yard sand wedge? shot! Any chance of a video on how to hit 3 woods off the deck as I really struggle with it? I could score a lot better on longer holes if I could hit it. I hate losing them though! Please, thanks, Benjamin.

I prefer the pro v1x. Not quite the "bite" around the greens as the prov1 but It comes off the face just a bit faster. I've played 330's, pentas, and callways....prov1x is the best all around? in my opinon.
