Not like you will see this or anything. Sure you have BG, D2, and ES. Even with as much as technology allows with those, you are still very limited in what you can do. Lets just take dialogue for an example. Can on any of the above mentioned examples can you make your character say whatever you want? Nope, you are limited by the scripts, TableTop you are only limited by your vocabulary. Computer RPG's are limited by their coding,? Tabletop is limited by the imagination of everyone playing.

Dude, tabletop games were not only the original? RPG, they're also the only outlit where people can actually role-play with their friends, and the game feels very real. No glitches, everything is scripted, NPCs can say your name, and the graphics in your head are great.

I have the same problem, man. None? of my players are role-players. However, I have come up with one remedy that works about 33% of the time; force them to go into a long, complex conversation, and every time one of the characters says something bluntly without role-playing, you can just make your NPC say something like "My, you're blunt!" or "Well, you must not be the sharpest tool in the shed..."

I would assume that the "Bandit King" would probably be something like a level 6 (the? same as the characters, if I'm not mistaken). That would mean even if he was a ranger or something with low HP, he would have on average 21 hit points (if he was only getting a D6 with no modifier). A longbow last time I checked (though I'm sure his is a compound or enchanted) does something like 1d8. The fact that it only took two suprises me, critical or otherwise..

Unfortunately, I have yet to see any good TABLETOP roleplaying females. Not to say that there aren't any, of course. I know a couple (in particular, the best Roleplayer I've ever met was a chick online) over the internet,? but females at tabletops are pretty rare around here

I find? the fact that D&D (and roleplaying in general) is looked upon as dorky (and that its sprung this "dork" culture) is almost enough to make a grown man cry. It didn't used to be that way, but people have buried themselves underneath social networking and stupid crap (drugs, parties, drinking, etc). Roleplaying is about creativity and more importantly exploration. It's our yearning to explore that drives the Roleplayer, to see and hear and do new things

Two of the girls that joined us were girlfriends of players.? So my high school group had a ratio of between 3:1 and 11:1 guys to girls, and my college club has a ratio of 10:1. Strange. I play RPG only two years, and I played only with two girls in the party. One with Skype, and she played it way before I started it. The other girl just started recently in the IRL party. I heard about a few more girls, but nothing more. Oh, and maybe there will be? a third girl. On a side note though, if this were my campaign (or the wizard my character), I would have said that I was contacted? by a ghostly woman, who told me that she needed to be rescued. "I cannot do such a task by myself". "You will meet another group of adventurers and warriors". It would be a good way to introduce the character. Still not COMPLETELY trustworthy, but it would have been a vast improvement and a better explination

The way I see it, Dorkness Rising was the "feature length film" with the leading principal (yep, there was a leading principal believe it or not x? it also helped with some funny references, because Mark survived and they put him in the second one. I really? do like this one about the same as the second one, I just like that this one is more campy and amateurish. it makes the film seem a bit more comical to me because they weren't quite being as serious. also I think when they added the lightsaber, the shotgun and the dynamite at the end, it made things a little too ridiculous.

Your argument wasn't even a argument. What you did was to be in denial of reality and substitute your own. Sure video games have a bad side, so? does everything else. But what you just did here is oppose everybody who see something that you don't. And for you to start bashing about religion which is irrelevant to this topic, it just shows how clueless you are.
