"oh and congratulations to France and their new president Francois Hollande." (I don't want to be rude to contest your opinion) I can't speak English very well cause I'm French, but I just want to say that over 48% of French people are not agree? with that. And I think there is over 48%. He didn't really win when you think that the most of population are against him! Since Sunday, lost of people are not proud to be French! Merci A Nicolas Sarkozy pour ces 5 ans, merci pour tout.

That has to be the funniest comment of all.... Dismantling nuclear plants takes over 30 years without counting the time to prepare the equipment needed to dismantle such a complex plant. And in less than 10 years? the new ITER plant will be operational, a new type of plant that pollutes way less and produces way more than any nuclear facility.... So before you claim they will lose 80%of their electricity get you facts straight...

He's not afraid to raise taxes which I thin is a good thing. If the country looses money (much because of? greedy rich people) I think it's fair that everyone gets to feel the mess. It's not right that a crisis should only affect the poor and middle-class. The important mix is to increase the taxes enough to help the country out of the mess, but not too much so investors don't flee the country and leave a lot of people unemployed.

the french go and elect a socialist bureaucrat because they "think he iz a nice guy and thiz auzterity is not so? nice." Hey france, you can't pay your bills by street miming... you're worth over half the economic value of the EU, so pull the bagettes out of your ears and start acting responsibly. You can drink your wine and smoke your cigarettes when you've solved your severe debt problems instead of carrying on the path to failure.

Why do? some say that Hollande's rhetoric is scary? Have they been "turned out" by the reactionaries who believe? that the contemporary world should consist of a ruling class and the rest of us? Hollande wants a fair deal for the middle class. As a conservative, so do I. That's why I'm voting for Obama this year. Every true conservative will do the same.

If there isn't enough jobs for everyone, than something have to be done to keep the money circulating. Those who have jobs will still have way more money than those who doesn't. The difference is that in a socialistic system, the poorest will have a minimum financial condition that is good enough to keep most of them from becoming criminals. Which, in? the end, is better than paying for huge prisons to keep people locked in.

Mr Hollande, we know 1? thing for sure, if France gets a socialist president, then we better say goodbye to the remainig stability in Europe, and with that I mean? the immigration and the economical side, while everybody in the EU most watch out for what he's doing with the last cent, you want to throw it out every window, and while everybody knows how a beautiful country like france is turned into an islamic street market, you doesn't seem to have a problem with that... bye bye France
