The MacLeods don't own the castle anymore. The last real MacLeod of Dunvegan, Dame Flora, after a lifetime telling all MacLeods that the castle was really owned by the clan, a spiel which raised a lot of money, promptly left it to her rich lowland grandson from the already landed Wolridge-Gordon family. Is it any wonder women weren't chiefs? in days of yore.

The Scottish clan structure is pretty complex. In the case of the MacLeods, there are actually two main branches of the clan: the Macleods of Harris and Dunvegan, whose chief is Macleod of Macleod, and the Macleods? of Lewis, whose chief is Macleod of The Lewes. Both branches claim descent from Leòd, who lived in the 13th century.

Thanks for posting this! I've always wanted to go here, but Scotland is pretty far from us. My reason to? go there is because I am very distantly related to the MacLeods. I just figured it would be cool to meet them some time.

I got married at Dunvegan castle and the people of Dunvegan were fantastic. we didn't have? any of this nonsense though! We did it with no guests and a local photographer. Great booze up downstairs in the Dunvegan hotel after as well.

Considering the time we had to work on this piece and the side projects our band was doing while preparing for UIL, I think a score of 2 was quite understanding. Our band? doesn't focus on making a 1, we just focus on individual playing and putting that together for our ensemble. My school is quite new. It's only been open for about 2 1/2 years, and in those 2 1/2 years we've gotten better. Congratulations on receiving a one on this piece! :-) x

way too out of tune sadly :( and I don't? hear the french horns! plus at the part where the f horn and tenor sax are playing together, everyone else blasted them out. You also would sound awesome if you just didn't rush! Also, the band director, when more totally involved with the music and looking enthusiastic, the band would sound better and stay together better. Tell them to get in to the music. they are just playing the notes, not getting involved in the music. Trumpets work on it more.

Wow this is sad...I'm in the top band? and I'm just a 7th grader and I'm first chair of 7 other 8th grade Trombone players, and we don't go nearly this slow and we still sound better, but in my opinion it wasen't that bad but it was pretty slow -___-
