I think maybe you should do some more homework on the? reformed church. It is not reforming the orthodoxy. It is a call to go back to what was taught by the early reformers such as John Calvin, John Knox, Martin Luther, ect. Their entire teaching was repentance instead of works, a calling away from the Roman Catholic heresy. Sorry to be so blunt but I just needed to clarify that.

I was having an arguement with my mother whose penecostal, and she keeps defending stubbornly that this one guy who got saved from alcoholism, who used to be a rock musician, which now goes around and evangelises and reaches out to inmates and bikers and so on, still is acting properly. In reality, yes, he would go where the sinners are, and to? where he was called to fish for sinners and making them repent from their wicked ways, but "DJ Jesus" is a secular interpetation of what the son of God is all about. I am not challenging the message of Luther's hymns, just the tune that they follow. Luther was acting as the "4th wave" of emerging in that he took the familiar music of the day and added words that taught the gospel. That is what Mark is talking about here, just not with music only. The message content isn't what they are changing, just the language of? the culture for comprehension. Stands to reason that hes the greatest player ever (so far)-was voted the player of the decade in (more or less) the first decade that was professional. With professionalism obv comes better coaches, defence, attack. As? well as that the players become more refined athletes, bigger stronger etc. their lives are completely devoted to playing rugby-a far cry from the drinking smoking and working that the amateurs engaged in. Just look at the difference in NH teams that made it to the world cup in 2011 compared to 2007? mate... Not to mention in Ireland specifically, you have to consider that IRFU recruiters are competing in a very small sountry with GAA and Football clubs as well. And most national schools are inclined to promote GAA as it is our national heritage. Rugby is only played in 3 cities in Ireland, Dublin, Limerick and Belfast mostly, it's not played as much anywhere else and all our players on the? Irish team are pretty much from those 3 cities. One thing I find with Driscoll is sometimes he is harsh without conveying enough of the love behind it (hence some of the correct criticism/rebuke). I do think our culture is too sensitive nowadays though, and I tend to like most of his content? because he speaks the Biblical truth most of the time. I am a fan of Driscoll and his ministry, but I think sometime pride in his ministry can mar how people see his ministry. Regardless, he is a pastor who speaks the truth and is also being sanctified.
