if the 1/200 or somewhere around there is the speed where the curtains/shutters have enough time to fully open before the other one starts closing whats the point of having higher shutter speed?? this might be a dumb question? but if anyone knows anything let me know. Hi Mark, Thanks for video. I did what you did except used off camera speedlite flash SB900 but either the subject was too dark when the background was dark or if the subject was well lit, then the background was not pitch black, I believe the light behind? the subject was cause by the flash, so I could not get that affect. I tried all types of Apertures/Shutter speeds and ISO and I have D90, is the shot possible? If so what am I doing wrong? Thanks John

When first handling A DSLR begin in the green mode. The full auto, once you feel that you get the camera better. The buttons and the feel you can switch to P[rogram] mode or modes like A[perture] these give you more control. And yes will do most functions like measuring the light automatically for you. Slowly learn to take more? control. I own a Dslr for 4 years now and .. Aperture is my most used mode. I like the effects. So take it slow.. and slowly learn to take more control.

Gotta love the sensors these days. There was a time where ISO 800 was ..touching it.But now you can push your camera into the over 12800 and ..still get some decent results. Do you know how long exposure noise works on digital sensors? It is one of those situations where you gotta choose between two bads.Either accept long exposure noise or raise the ISO to? get noise from there.

If the sensor is built well, then because the pixel is getting more light, the amount of light compared to background noise is much better and you won't? get as much noise when you scale up.

Well, "theoretically" is the key word there. In reality you'll never achieve a perfectly noise-free environment. The sensor itself is even adding to the noise. However, as mentioned, as they get better and better technology, this becomes less and less of an issue. For a specific example, search for "EOS 5D Mark III ISO 12800 MOVIE" on YouTube to see the noise difference between the Canon 5D Mark II and the Mark III at the same ISO. It's an impressive improvement.?

does this mean if every electronic wire/cable that runs close to the camera is shielded, and the sensor is somehow shielded to an extent from electromagnetic influence such that the sensors do not pick up extra colour/noise that is not coming in from the actual photo subject,? then we could create a camera that can theoretically have an unlimited ISO number with no noise at all?

Thanks for the video. by scaling up. you also lose precision in the values of RGB due to the sensor getting values in 12 bits precision. Better sensors of 14 bits help? to reduce this effect.

I have to agree that this was weird. Honestly, I don't need to watch some child demanding that I hurry up and give her something. It would have been much more effective to use an older elementary student. Not to mention - VALA - don't write in text that? commands teachers and parents to do something.
