It is an interesting concept,? but you definitely gone too far with a metaphor of a desktop. Metaphors doesn't have to mimic exactly the real thing, but only make a user feel more familiar with a virtual thing. The iPad has indeed helped technology along. However, as for competition as? the current flurry of patent lawsuits proves... its going to be a messy business. These patent disputes and big companies like apple being litigious could stifle innovation expecially in smaller companies. Don't ask me what the solution is however. Without patents, companies would not spend the money on R&D like they do.

You don't understand. The xx is my favorite band but it was because of their great bassline. I lovedeah they took a break before their next album because they were so young (17) that they missed the 'party scene' of their life. A few years later they start working on a new album that they say is inspired with their party experiences. I expected something with more bass like Austin Eterno's "I Remember Shelter" which would sound so awesome. But? instead they come out with a bass-lacking song...

That's how I do thing too. Custom build a $1000-1200 computer every 4-65 years. I make sure to use sites like NCIX where I can price match and review parts. I try to buy the parts that hit that price to performance sweetspot (while reviewing for durability and errors). If I have a little leftover money from a great price match I'll invest it back into parts, usually video. This process gives me a great machine for? 4 years. Because of consoles, my last build has lasted a year longer than usual

I've been playing Eve since 2006, I think this more than qualifies me to comment on the graphics and game mechanics. How you play Eve may be different from me, but if I zoom into my ship or any other ship around me, it means I lose my tactical overview of the area. It doesn't matter if you do missions or fight in PvP combat, the position? of the enemy ships is important if you want to keep your transversal high while keeping your designated target within optimal range.

Not the way I play EVE. I? play with the camera up close to my ship, and I occasionally zoom out for a quick tactical view of the battle. The one thing that has always stopped me from playing this game is the fact it's not like X series games where you can actively sit in the cockpit and shoot things, have friends join you in your ship to mine? as a group, or even in large battles with hundreds of people controlling different aspects of the ships, from flight to fight, to wing squadrons being launched out of the hangers. Heck even just walking around on stations. Shame really that it's that detailed for nothing.
